Angels Flight seems to be closed quite often for repairs, but if you catch it when it's open, it is one of the most entertaining experiences for the money (I believe the fare is 25 cents). It's not very long, but it sort of feels like being in a time machine. A definite to-do if you are in downtown LA with kids who need some fun.
Cute little piece of Los Angeles history. It's only 50 cents to ride the shortest railway in the world! Plus, on one end is Grand Central Market (with AMAZING Mexican food stalls) and on the other end is the Watercourt Plaza with awesome restaurants like Starry Kitchen and Mendocino Farms.
Be it nostalgia or touristy trap, Angels Flight Railway is a fun ride in downtown LA.
It’s a nice little train ride that goes up the hill. It’s a nice little history reminder.
Angles Flight is a funicular railway in downtown LA. It is a historical landmark, and just halted operation in 2011.
