I went to TCM film festival for the first time in 2014 and again in April this year (2018). Wow, it's so different. In just four years, the sidewalk was replaced by a tent just a few blocks from the Chinese theatre. It's really good. I hope Los Angeles hasn't lost all the awareness of keeping the city safe and clean.
Hollywood Avenue is neither long nor wide. It is crowded with many cars. Walking along this avenue, the first thing to be seen is the stars on the ground. These pink pentagons made of terrazzo are embedded in dark grey floor tiles. The names of the awardees are engraved in bronze on the stars. The copper circle below represents the field in which the awardees receive stars. There are many people dressed up as Spider-Man and other movie characters on this avenue to take pictures with tourists. The purpose of this avenue is, of course, to get tips. I think it's better to be careful.
i felt like a superstar there. i see jay leno riding down the street. i said hi and took a pisture of him. i went on a tour and i aldo had a chance to see where most of the stars lived. it was great to see how houge michael jacksons house was. the helicopter tour was also wonderful. my first time evetr being in one. next time i go i hope to get some autographs
There is no shortage of shops and restaurants and other attractions to do in the Hollywood Boulevard region, from a couple of wax museums to Dolby Theatre to the Chinese theatre to museums...the list goes on and on. Be prepared for crowds and for lots of walking in this area.
