Peaceful, and nice to be socially distant, while still getting culture in!
I adore this place! Where I used to live, we had a lot of museums, but none like MOCA. Since moving back, I've been a bunch of times, and it's been cool to see how it has changed. Someday (fingers cro...
The best part of our visit was seeing how many teen aged students came in groups to benefit from the museum’s exhibits and learning opportunities. We also noted how many young people worked for MOCA a...

Not much to see! I was in and out within half hour. But I'm not a big modern art fan, except for abstract art, which I love. I don't get stacking cereal boxes in a couple directions and then calling t...
The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, more commonly referred to as MOCA is the only contemporary art museum in Los Angeles. Built in 1979, this museum houses tons of artwork and exhibits that have been produced from the 1940s to the present. The goal of the museum is to establish itself as the go-to museum for contemporary art as well as a place where visitors can immerse themselves with information of this style of art. So far, the museum’s increasing popularity seems to coincide with their goals because close to 240,000 visitors visited the museum in 2010, which was approximately 90,000 more visitors than the previous year.
Modern and Contemporary ARt
JUSt what it says, contemporary art., and concerts.. Two facilities/ The Temporary Contemporary was thrown together while the permanent one was being built, and everyone loved it, so it became the venue for more monumental exhibitions
Outstanding venue with mostly post WWII era artwork. Easy to enjoy an hour or maybe half a day among the very approachable contemporary art. Tours often happen, too. Great place and wonderful staff.
Beautiful and iconic. Everyone has heard of The Museum of Contemporary Art (or by its nickname: the MOCA).
I really liked this museum. It's small but packed with interesting art. I remember having fun and watching an indie movie that was pretty good.
