The food was very good (pork ribs with potatoes ands some salad with aceto di modena). The atmosphere was not so nice because the table we got was quite unstable and wiggly, and the place was in absolute silence (we were the only customers and there wasn&#39;t any music or radio or anything). One more thing that wasn&#39;t ok was the price for the &quot;coperto&quot; which was 3.50 per person (by far the highest we&#39;ve seen in Italy in normal non-premium restaurants).

Lovely dinner with my family. Did a special pasta dish for the children. Tartar and tuna were to die for. Highly recommend.

This was fine dining at its best. A set menu using very fresh local ingredients. Absolutely delicious, surprising, theatrical. It&rsquo;s expensive, but worth it when you see the care and creativity of each dish.

May 2023We booked our reservation on &quot;The Fork&quot; one hour before going to dinner.  We arrived a few minutes late and it was no problem at all.  The staff was very attentive and patient (slight language barrier) with me and my wife.  The service was quick (but not too fast) and the food was fresh, hot and fresh.  We dined inside and were surrounded with wine bottles from many, many vineyards which provided a casual elegance to the dining experience.  We enjoyed the appetizers, 1st course, 2nd course and the dessert.  The wine selections for us was perfect.  Need I say more???  Go there and enjoy a wonderful meal at a very, very reasonable price.

Very nice experience, food was great, service quick!  special thanks to the waiter who took time to speak in Italian to let us practice , I am from the catering business and I really appreciate the professionalism of the staff .

We had a wonderful evening at SottoSotto with our team, seated outside in the lovey atmosphere of Piazza dell&rsquo;Anfiteatro in Lucca. The personal, friendly service was outstanding, including our pre-dinner menu planning. Authentic, flavorful Tuscan food was promised - and delivered! I can easily recommend dining at SottoSotto if traveling to Lucca.

The food was okay but it&#39;s better to not sit inside and to buy food and sit somewhere around the restaurant or outside the restaurant where there&#39;s also on the wall surrounding the city a lot of grass and places to sit. it&#39;s better to do take away. You can buy lots of small dishes.  the music inside was too loud. And one pizza is more than enoght for two people.

The restaurant was very nice in a very quiet part of Lucca. The food was nice and good value. We went on a very quiet night so hard to say about ambience but service was very good and friendly

Questo piccolo ristorante resta un po&rsquo; defilato dalla piazza dell&rsquo;anfiteatro.. andrebbe forse segnalato meglio.. a pranzo alle 13 eravamo solo noi due e un&rsquo;altra signora nella sala all&rsquo;ingresso. Peccato perch&eacute; il cibo &egrave; veramente buono, il personale gentile ed il locale veramente grazioso. Consiglierei  un po&rsquo; di musica tenue in sottofondo.

This small restaurant is a little out of the amphitheatre square... perhaps it should be better reported... at lunch at 13:00, we were only two and one woman in the entrance room. Sorry, because the food is really good, the staff is very kind, and the local is really funny.
