Kawasan Falls Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Kawasan Falls In Cebu
Cebu boasts a rich history that dates back to the Spanish colonial era, evident in its well-preserved heritage sites such as the Magellan's Cross and the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.
But beyond the city's urban charm lies a natural paradise waiting to be discovered. One of the most sought-after destinations in Cebu is the awe-inspiring Kawasan Falls, located in the town of Badian. This multi-tiered waterfall is a true gem, boasting crystal-clear turquoise waters cascading down lush green cliffs, creating a postcard-perfect scene that will leave you in awe.
Kawasan Falls is not just a sight to behold; it's also a playground for adventure enthusiasts. Canyoneering, a thrilling activity that combines hiking, swimming, and cliff jumping, is a popular way to experience the beauty of Kawasan Falls up close. Strap on your gear, follow experienced guides, and embark on an exhilarating journey through the canyons, navigating through natural rock formations, and plunging into refreshing pools of water.

One of a kind
#2023travelwish
Don't chase the whales! That's the number one rule in our orientation in the Oslob Whaleshark watching tours. The orientation is the guide in order to protect the whales and to have our experience in a smooth flow. As nearly as close proximity to them, this experience is one of a kind. It's been the highlight of my Oslob trip. But this experience requires every visitors to be responsible one. Don't touch the whales or chase them.
When was the last time you encountered such ones in a lifetime experience? I am glad to have one recently.
Hoping in 2023 I will be able to travel in South Korea and Japan. That would be a one's in kind experience too for sure.
Whale Watching Oslob Cebu
One of the tourist attractions in Cebu is the Whale shark watching or swim with the whale, the famous yet the controversial. The activity is good for 30mins only. There are marine biologists in the area monitoring the water activity. All tourist must undergo whale shark orientation. And there are some strict rules to avoid hurting the gentle giants like touch, ride, chase, flash photography & do not wear sunscreen. The whale sharks are wild animals and can come and go as they please. Cebu can fill your day with full of fun and adventures🐋🐳🐠

Sirao Flower Garden Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Beautiful Flower Garden in Cebu
The Sirao garden is also popularly called a 'Mini Amsterdam' by tourists and visitors because of the world-famous 'Keukenhof' flower garden.
It's a good get away from Cebu City, approximately just an hour drive. There are two gardens with an entrance fee of Php 60 each per head. There are lots of flowers, nice spots for taking selfies, structures reproducing landmarks of Holland, etc. My friends and I enjoyed the sceneries although we didn't notice much difference between the two gardens. The place gets quite crowded on weekends and finding a parking space is a bit of a challenge. The road leading to the gardens is also quite narrow. Thus, it's not good for big vehicles. Outside the gardens there are lots of stalls selling foods, drinks, souvenirs, etc.
Sirao Garden Cebu
One of the highlights of Sirao Garden is the famous "Little Amsterdam." This section of the garden features rows and rows of tulips, creating a picturesque scene reminiscent of the famous tulip fields in the Netherlands. The vibrant colors and symmetrical layout make for the perfect photo opportunity.
Aside from the flowers, Sirao Garden also offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and cityscape. Whether you're exploring the garden paths or simply relaxing in one of the gazebos, you'll be treated to panoramic views that will take your breath away.
The garden is well-maintained and clean, thanks to the diligent staff who ensure that everything is in order. They are also friendly and accommodating, always ready to answer any questions or provide assistance.
Sirao Garden, Cebu
Sirao Garden also called Little Amsterdam is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Cebu. Tourists and locals alike visit the botanical garden for the beautiful garden and other different attractions. It’s an hour’s drive up the hills in Cebu. There are a couple of giant hands and windmills, etc where you can climb on to and take great photos but just be sure you’re not scared of heights. We hired a driver and car to take us there and other tourist sights around the area for 2,500 pesos. Most taxis can also be hired for a day to drive up the mountains of Cebu for all the attractions there. It was well worth it. The driver just patiently waits for you when you are ready to depart for your next destination. Entrance fees for Sirao Garden is 100 pesos per person and parking is 50 pesos.
Sirao. A garden like no other.
Getting There - private or joined-in tours
Attractions - bountiful flowers
Entrance - small fee ranges 80-100 pesos
Food & Restaurants - local foods, light snacks in front of the entrance.

Simala Shrine Pilgrimage
When you mention the town of Sibonga in the southern part of Cebu, what comes to mind is the Simala Church, which is flocked by thousands of devotees per day. Whether it is for a petition, thanksgiving, or some other reasons, devotees as far as you can imagine, gather in this place to pray. This has been an icon in itself hosting the miraculous image of the Our Lady of Lindogon. This is probably the most beautiful of all the churches in Cebu. From a distance, it looks like you are out of the country because of its notable structures.
A Pilgrimage Site
#2023travelwish
My recent 2022 trip was memorable because of Simala Shrine. It is part of our Oslob tour in Cebu. The Simala Shrine is a Roman Catholic pilgrimage site. The site hosts the image of the Our Lady Of Lindogon . To enter the church, there is a friendly ramped page path, through the turrets along with an arcaded corridor. To the right side is a lovely view of the Marion Hills. Looking down, the landscaped garden displays the words "We Love Mama Mary". This place is peaceful to utter our prayers.
A place to have of wishes surrender to God and hope it make it all come true.
