it is tucked away on a side street. the thing that remains with me is how friendly everyone associated with the restaurant is. the owner was accommodating and the servers were just plain wonderful. the wine selection was not too overwhelming. the food was really good. sadly, I am reviewing this restaurant months after I have returned form spain, but what I will tell you is that when next I go to madrid, I will make a beeline for this restaurant.

Small place and a little cold to be honest. We had to wait one hour before having our dinner ready to eat.

We had a lovely time. The atmosphere was fun, different, charming. The food was good,  elegant, no show off, no acrobatics, just very good food, and the service was unforgettable. Rosario, our Argentinian waitress, had just landed in Madrid after four years in Japan. She was a rare jewel. Yes, I would recommend without hesitation.

The food very good, the ambiance nice and the staff friendly. Good food, tasty, fast service, very good sangria, very good paella ( a few more sea food within would have been appreciated 🙃) Highly recommend the restaurant!

We&#39;ve been here several times over the past few months (we&#39;re staying in Madrid for 4 months) and we&#39;ve tasted everything on the menu. Everything is cooked to perfection. The restaurant is quaint and small (perhaps 8 tables). No hesitation at all, you can have lunch or dinner and it will always be delicious.

Loved my pasta dish with bacon, tomatoes, and asparagus. Hubby liked his cauliflower and anchovies dish too. Our second courses weren&#39;t quite as good - tuna a bit dry; pizza good but didn&#39;t elicit raves. The bruschetta appetizer was delicious! Good wine, pleasant diningroom, very good service, and fairly priced. On a Friday at 2:45 we got right in, but they filled all the tables by 3:15. Uphill walk from Reina Sofia (a block perhaps).

Restaurant : Oliveto Ambience : Small quaint little italian restaurant in the madrid museum area. We came bcos of the high TA reviews and we were looking for italian food. Service : Service was prompt but cooking was slow. Food : The tomato brusheta was alright as a crispy amuse bouche. We ordered 4 diff pastas and 1 pizza and the tuna fish. All the pastas came out over al-dente hard and salty. We returned for them to cook it softer but it still came out rubbery and chewy. But the salt....omg...did the chef dropped his bowl of salt in the pasta but it cant be cos we ordered 4 diff pastas w 4 diff sauces. Too yucky for any of us to finish or even eat half of it. Conclusion : Total disaster. For once, the positive TA reviews let us down. A waste of our gd appetites. Better go back to eat instant cup noodles.
