Plaza de Cibeles is my favorite plaza in Madrid - between the beautiful buildings (the Palacio de las Comunicaciones), La Castellana (the famous tree-lined paseo) and the view of the Puerta de Alcala, it's the intersection of some of the best sights in Madrid. If you happen to be in town for a Real Madrid win, head here as it also happens to be where Madrileños go to celebrate those big wins!
Stunning and begging for a picture, this well known fountain and roundabout is referred to as Cibeles (the god of nature) and this is where the Real Madrid team celebrates their championships! This area of the city is very walkable and is located between Retiro Park and Gran Via.
weekends are crowded, but overall, it's enjoyable.
A very pretty fountain, and the namesake of its surrounding square. This is a fun and fairly central area if you're walking through the city.
Very pretty fountain in the Plaza Cibeles. The plaza as well as the fountain are primarily done in the neo-classical style.
One of symbols of Madrid (Nice one)
