In Lichi Park, there is a crystal palace with geometric dome design, all glass manufacture and excellent lighting. When entering the palace, people should queue up to restrict the flow of people and wear shoes and overalls. Through the glass, you can see the pool forests in front of the palace and the green trees in the garden. The artificial style combines with the natural breath very well. The Crystal Palace in Madrid's Lichi Park, once a royal refuge, is now often used as a temporary exhibition gallery for the Sofia Museum of Art. The Crystal Palace is built on the lake, where there are several roots and trunks of Italian cypress immersed in water. The Crystal Palace is modelled on London's Crystal Palace. The whole building is made of iron and glass. Swans swim in the water fountain. The Crystal Palace is beautiful both in appearance and in interior. By the end of the week, there are many people here.
El Retiro is a magical place to get lost in if you want to surround yourself in the tranquility of nature. However, the park is so damn big, you'll need more than one trip and possibly a map to navigate through it all, which is why I pick specifically the "Palacio de Cristal."It's essentially a green house, but if you let your imagination run wild, it can be so much more than that. I've sat there for hours gazing at the sun and clouds pass me by. If that sounds boring, then get one of the best photos ops inside the palace because the lighting will never fail you, and then begin the adventures that are awaiting outside.Caves to walk through or climb on top of, steps to sit on in front of a massive lake and spans of shaded grass make for the perfect place to picnic, people watch, have a yoga sesh.. whatever it is that brings you inner-peace. During the summer months, there have always been free art exhibitions inside the crystal palace.
The most fascinating part of Lichi Park is the Palaciode Cristal in Madrid, which is situated in the woods. A fascinating crystal palace made of metal and glass forms a mysterious and quiet atmosphere with the tall chestnut trees around it under the sunshine. It is no wonder that Lichi Park means "ideal quiet place".
The Crystal Palace at first glance amazes me, not because of the Crystal Palace itself, but because of the red trees in the pool in front of him. There are commentary boards beside them to illustrate the characteristics of this tree. Unfortunately, it is Spanish. It is really a tangle for us who are not proficient in Spanish. In autumn, the red tree matches the crystal building behind it, which is very good. The Crystal Palace, built here in 1887 after the Crystal Palace in London, is made of iron and glass. Swans swim in the fountain in front of the building. It used to be a place to show foreign plants.

One of my personal favorite places in Madrid. One of the most beautiful ones. I highly recommend it for people that want to take a peaceful walk in the Retiro Park while staying in the very lively Madrid. It is hidden; you need to search it on a map or maybe ask for directions. I love the beautiful water trees in the tiny lake and the little cascade where you can pass under. In my opinion also one of the most romantic places in Madrid.
Reasons to visit:Attractive building.Art inside.Easy to keep up with group - can see them, it is a glass palace.Did make me a little nervous, afraid I would trip and tip a sculpture that would crash into a wall shattering it. Fortunately I didn't even stub a toe.
