Very cool place in the center of the city. I would recommend to go during the sunset, as it is more beautiful by then.
One of my favorite places in the city to watch the sunset! You'll find many locals here lounging around, some with a full on picnic set up (Spanish guitar and all), others just walking their dogs and people watching. Bring a bottle of wine or a few beers and watch the city go from day to night. The temple itself is free to enter during specific hours. I'll spare the details on the history as it is much better to learn about in person.Have a great photo-op and walk around the park. If you hit the right corner, you'll also find yourself with one of the best views of the Palacio Real (Royal Palace).
The best place to enjoy the beautiful sun settings of Madrid. At night enjoy the reverberation of the temple on the water.. stunning!
DE wave high temple stands at the top of the hill, the style is very simple of primitive simplicity, architectural style of ancient Egypt, see introduction know moved out of Egypt, before is located in the Banks of the Nile, and there are 2000 years old, is really quite old. DE temple surrounded by green water, appear very chic, to the reflection of symmetrical scene shooting pictures. This temple is free and open, can be in, but needs to be stressed the point that it''s opening time is very strange, there was a time in the afternoon is not open, so if you have in the plan, must be good, be sure to check in advance open time arrangement, don''t flapping empty air. Debord''s park overlooking the distant Madrid palace and the temple al MuDeNa cathedral or nice view!
A magnificent piece of Egypt in the heart of Madrid
Fancy a romantic evening in Madrid? Grab your significant other, a blanket and a bottle of wine and head up to the Temple of Debod for sunset. Snuggle up to each other and watch the sun go down over the city of Madrid with the temple behind you. The temple was brought to Madrid piece by piece from Egypt and reassembled in the gorgeous park surroundings. Visit during the day and explore the inside of the temple too. Take a trip back in time and halfway across the world while in the centre of the city.
An Egyptian sanctuary in Madrid. Even in a cosmopolitan city like Madrid we can still be surprised by what is hidden in the Cuartel de la Montaña park: the Temple of Debod, a monument that is over two thousand years old, which was brought to Spain from Egypt, stone by stone and carefully reconstructed in the capital. Beautiful place from where anyone can enjoy an amazing sunset.
A whole egyptian temple, within Madrid! Amazing? :) Beautiful park btw.
