Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai is a luxurious family-friendly hotel located in the lush green hills of Northern Thailand. The resort offers a unique blend of traditional Thai architecture and modern amenities, making it the perfect choice for a family trip.
🍽️ One of the standout features of the resort is its complimentary kids' dining program. Children under the age of five can dine for free at any of the resort's restaurants. This is a great way for families to save money while still enjoying delicious meals together.

An absolute treat, superb hotel
It's tough to write something about this hotel without giving too much away and spoiling the fun of exploring and discovering it. The lush green landscape welcomes wandering, and the rice terraces provide a stunning backdrop for photographs. They achieve a balance between being spotless and maintaining a natural appeal. The beautiful swimming pools are hidden between paddy fields and blend perfectly with the natural surroundings. The restaurant serves healthy, delicious food with a variety of plant-based options.
All of this is fantastic, but we really loved the polite and attentive personnel who were always available without being intrusive. They were friendly and helpful, which added to the overall quality of the visit.

Chiang Mai Four Seasons Resort, what a secluded pastoral place
After wandering around Chiang Mai city for a few days, we later stayed at the Chiang Mai Four Seasons Resort a little outside the city. Rather than calling it a hotel, it's more like a Thai version of a paradise. The entire manor is lush green, with a large field of rice in the middle, and then various rooms scattered in different corners. The second floor pastoral house we stayed in was in a great location, with a water wheel directly outside the window (Figure 1).
In the early morning, join the Indian master for a yoga session to wash away sleepiness, drink a cup of healthy juice, and then welcome breakfast.
The evening ceremony is also good, there will be a group of local farmers (or possibly hotel staff) to start a 'parade', leading water buffaloes on the rice path, of course we also joined in, experiencing it in the team.
The hotel's restaurant is also very good, I don't know if it's because we didn't order much (actually quite a lot), the restaurant also prepared a complimentary steak, very innovative.
The spa at the Four Seasons Chiang Mai is highly recommended by us. In addition to excellent service and techniques, the environment is very unique, especially the rooms on the second floor, as if in the Wizard of Oz (of course it's cool, separated from the outdoor heat).
We stayed at the Four Seasons for nearly a week, apart from occasionally going back to the city for a stroll, the rest of the time was spent wandering around the hotel and surrounding farms, it was really good!

Mon Jam Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Mon Doo Dao Dome: A Highland Retreat
Perched high amidst the verdant hills of Chiang Mai, my sojourn at the Mon Doo Dao Dome Tent accommodation was an escape from the ordinary. As I navigated the steep drive, the thrill of adventure was palpable, each turn revealing a panoramic vista more breathtaking than the last.
Arriving in the heart of summer, I was pleasantly surprised by the cool, crisp air that enveloped the area, a stark contrast to the sweltering June heat. It was a refreshing respite, the mountain breeze whispering tales of the lush, untouched wilderness that surrounded us.
Booking an air-conditioned room seemed like a prudent choice given the season, but as the cool mountain air filled the dome, I realised it was an indulgence we could have easily forgone. The dome's unique design and natural ventilation kept the indoor temperature perfectly comfortable, adding to the immersive experience of being one with nature.
As night fell, the experience took an even more delightful turn. We set up a grill and indulged in a scrumptious Mookata dinner right within the comfort of our room. The aroma of grilled delicacies mingled with the crisp mountain air, creating a feast for all the senses.
Staying at Mon Doo Dao Dome was more than just an accommodation experience; it was a journey into the heart of nature, where modern comforts meet rustic charm. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or seeking a unique staycation, this highland retreat is a must-try.

Mon Jaem Escapade: An Unexpected Summer Chill
In the thick of summer's blaze, I found a refreshing sanctuary in Mon Jaem, Thailand. With temperatures surprisingly dipping to 19 degrees Celsius, it felt like a cool embrace amid the typically scorching season.
I traversed the verdant landscapes, breathing in the crisp air that held a hint of the imminent rain, and marveled at the panoramic views that stretched out as far as the eye could see. As if this mountain retreat wasn't enchanting enough, the temperature drop added an unexpected layer of serenity that soothed my city-weary soul.
Amidst this natural tranquillity, I indulged in a simple yet satisfying meal. The aroma of basil pork rice wafted in the cool air, and each bite seemed to fuse with the ethereal landscape. Dessert was a delightful Daifuku, its sweet chewiness perfectly complementing the savory main course.
Here in Mon Jaem, I discovered that summer could indeed be a season of cool retreat and gastronomic delight.

North Star Valley
Chiangmai trip cannot be completed without going to Mae Rim. Only an hour from city center, you will find beautiful and peaceful mountainous area. North Star Valley is such a unique place. We were sleeping in the bubble, feel like sleeping outside but not really. It’s such a cool experience. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious and glamorous at the same time.

Amazing place for a cheap admission fee. The garden is absolutely huge and fantastic. You could spend hours there taking photos. Make sure you dress up! We got there by song-teaw, it was relatively easy ride. Last few minutes, we passed some steep bends but its just manageable since our driver was an expert there. If you're on a song-teaw you can drive right up to this place. I'm not sure they harvest the flowers here, I think they earn the income from visitors, particularly Thai people, who come to get their photos taken amongst the flowers. A couple of gardens here, the larger one charges 30Bht entrance whilst the smaller one 20Bht. There are places selling food and drinks here.
Actually in my opinion when planing to go there since it is a great location and there are too much to see and do. You need to plan a whole day as you have so many things to find on the way up there.☺️☺️☺️🤙🏻

Chiang Mai's hotels each have their own unique features.
What caught my eye was Laya.
Different from other vacation villages.

The hotel draws inspiration from the local ancient Lanna culture.
Integrate the centuries-old lifestyle, customs, and culture of the indigenous people into architecture.
Let guests feel the folk customs passed down from generation to generation in the environment.

Chiang Mai | A hotel so beautiful that I hesitate to share it
Hotel location: Raya Heritage Hotel
Three years later, the first destination for going abroad is Chiang Mai.
Stayed at all the hotels on the previous list.
From boutique hotels to Four Seasons in Chiang Mai.
And my favorite, and the one I'm most reluctant to share, is Raya.
I wanted to stay at Raya when it first opened, but for various reasons, I didn't get the chance.
Didn't expect there to be no difference between maintaining and newly opened hotels after three years.
Very clean, very new, very beautiful.
·
The hotel is located about six or seven kilometers around the old city of Chiang Mai.
Taking a taxi is basically around 20 RMB.
The hotel has only 33 rooms.
Each room has a large area, especially the super large terrace.
The layout of the room is also quite comfortable, and various details deeply impress me.
The abundant use of cotton, linen and rattan makes the entire space exceptionally gentle.
·
The public areas and restaurants of the hotel are designed very beautifully.
Even in full occupancy, there are not too many guests to be seen.
The most central position in the lobby is given to a big tree.
Sit here and enjoy the beauty of this big tree in peace.
·
It's worth mentioning the hotel's breakfast.
All single dishes, the presentation and flavors are simply stunning!
No wonder my friend who stayed there before strongly recommended me to wake up early and have breakfast.
Each dish blends flavors just right.
The meals at the restaurant are also delicious during other times, and the prices are very reasonable.
So we have gradually tasted all the dishes.
·
In terms of service, it is touching and heartfelt.
Not only smile service
Brought back the items we left at the previous hotel.
Housekeeping is done meticulously for the extended stay.
·
Don't want to write anymore, because I don't want this hotel to become too popular.
Although Raya is already very popular
But I still can't bear to let it become a hotel where rooms are hard to come by.
In the price range of over 2000, Raya is really impressive.
Thank you for the wonderful two nights spent here.
Laya Ancient Relics Hotel
A hotel by the Mae River in Chiang Mai, with centuries-old trees in the courtyard, lush greenery by the river, longwa roofs, wooden low walls, the environment is really beautiful👍
Chiang Mai's top-rated hotel🏨, the designer blends Lanna culture with modern design, follows the pattern of balanced coexistence between man and nature, revealing the unique cultural atmosphere of the hotel everywhere
Simple and minimalist design style, perfect secluded hotel
I especially like the large terrace in the hotel room, drinking coffee☕️ on the terrace in the breeze, lying on the comfortable couch browsing the phone📱 leisurely and leisurely Laya Ancient Relics Hotel
Chiang Mai Hotel
💐This hidden gem of a hotel is really niche, but it's so chic that I can't help but recommend it to everyone! If you want to truly immerse yourself in a vacation when traveling to Chiang Mai, choosing this one is absolutely right! Raya Heritage is simply an art resort hotel where nature and art are combined to perfection~
😜Every corner of the hotel is very design-conscious, with a low-key luxury temperament, and natural elements are perfectly embodied here. Handmade wooden and rattan products made of natural materials can be seen everywhere, and every corner can be a good place for posing! The most beautiful thing is to sit on the hotel balcony, overlooking the beautiful mountain and forest scenery, it feels like vacationing in Bali!
💃The hotel is 6 kilometers away from both Chang Puak Market and Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Centre, and 9 kilometers away from the nearest airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, so it is more convenient to stay by car~

Huay Tueng Thao Reservoir Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Huay Tueng Thao Reservoir
A beautiful reservoir with some impressive sculptures made using the used rice husks. There's a ziplining company there if you like adrenaline sports or you can simply use one of the many floating houseboats to sit in the shade. The surrounding rice paddies are lovely and it's well worth a stop if you're on a guided tour of the area. One of my best places to visit, relax, eat, hike and ride.

Escape reality at Huay Tueng
Address: Huay Tueng Thao Reservoir, 283 ม.3 ดอนแก้ว Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai 50180, Thailand
Price: 💰
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We made an impromptu trip to Huay Tueng Thao Reservoir turned out to be the best decision ever! This hidden gem serves as a local hangout, where people gather for picnics under bamboo huts along the serene man-made lake.
Our Grab driver dropped us off at one of the carparks, and as we began our leisurely stroll, the magic of this place unfolded.
1. Rent a Bicycle for Exploration
The vastness of the reservoir calls for a bicycle adventure. Renting a bicycle allows you to effortlessly navigate the lake's periphery, revealing various attractions. The best part? It's not swarming with tourists. Arriving in the late afternoon, we aimed to catch the sunset — a magical spectacle. Note that the place closes at 6 pm, and darkness descends quickly.
2. Jungle Adventure with a Zipline
For thrill-seekers, embark on a zipline adventure across the lake. While there are obstacle courses available, we opted for the zipline due to my maxi dress attire. The cost of this activity pleasantly surprised us, being more budget-friendly compared to the Mon Jam area. This suggests that many attractions cater to local tourists, maintaining an accessible price point.
3. Sheep Petting and Windmill Charm
Explore a delightful Holland-themed area, where we stumbled upon a couple capturing their wedding photoshoot. Although we missed the sheep petting by a few minutes, the breathtaking sunset provided an exquisite backdrop for our own impromptu photoshoot.
Huay Tueng Thao Reservoir is a must-add to your Chiang Mai itinerary. It undoubtedly emerged as the highlight of my trip, offering a perfect blend of tranquility and joy — exactly what I sought during this short getaway.

Khun Chang Khian, ChiangMai - Thailand: This is a winter destination especially in January bacause there will be some cherry blossom blooming during that period. Some parts of the mountain turn to be pink which is really nice and worth to come. 🌸🌸🌸
A Blossoming Haven of Pink Floral Delight
The sight of endless fields adorned with pink blooms is nothing short of mesmerizing, like a scene from a fairytale brought to life. Each flower, with its delicate petals and vibrant hue, seems to dance in the gentle breeze, creating a symphony of beauty that captivates the senses.

Brewed Views: Serenity at the peak of Khun Chang Kian!
There's something magical about combining a love for coffee with an appreciation for stunning vistas. My latest escapade led me to the haven of View Suai Cafe at Khun Chang Kian. Nestled amidst verdant mountains, this cafe is an absolute delight for those craving a serene escape.
The aroma of fresh coffee beans brewing and the panoramic views of the lush hills was an immersive sensory delight. The cool, crisp air added a touch of enchantment as I settled in with a rich, creamy cup of joe. I could truly taste the care put into each brew, reflecting the warmth of Thai hospitality.
As the sunlight softly illuminated the surrounding greenery, I found myself surrendering to the tranquil ambiance. The View Suai Cafe is not merely a coffee shop, it's a quaint retreat where one can pause and reconnect with nature.

Chiang Mai Sakura Viewing 15 Jan 2023
Location:
1)Fernpresso @Khun Chang Khian
2)Doi Pui Camping Area
Transportation:
I booked a Limousine taxi with Shangri-la front desk, 450 babt per hour, minimum 4hrs, can go anyway other than Khun Chang Khian. Can also book a round trip taxi at the cost of 2500 baht, but just to Doi Suthep and Kun Chang Khian.
The driver bring us up to Fernpresso @Khun Chang Khian, the village has some sakura trees on the road sides on the way walking towards Fernpresso.
The sakura were not many, so the driver make a stop at the Doi Pui Camping Area(we saw the sakura on the way up to Fernpresso).
Doi Pui Camping Area had more sakura tree and the view was amazing. Many local residents were camping under the sakura trees.
It was a nice trip over all.
