Repatriation Memorial Hall in Maizuru. It is a little far from the red brick warehouse group. I went by car. It is on a hill and overlooks the repatriation pier from the park next door. Here are exhibits that convey the misery of the war. Those who were detained overseas such as Siberia by prisoners of war and could not return to Japan for a long time even after the war, and spent between despair and hope 々 and their family records are heartwarming.

It's never a fun place. But I think it's quite worth a visit. The people who came back to Japan with the last thought from Siberia were able to learn that they were forced to live in a harsh environment.
