Sultan's Well, Perigi Hang Li Poh

The Hang Li Poh's Well(also known as King's Well) was located at Jalan Puteri Hang Li Poh, Kampung Bukit China, Malacca, just beside the famous Poh San Teng Temple. Built in 15th century, this historic well is now a sightseeing attraction. Open 24hrs.

Later, it was abandoned under British rule.

Hanlibaojing, also known as Sanbaojing, is said to have been excavated by Sultan Mansuisha of Malacca for a princess from China and his wife Hanlibao. Legend has it that whoever drinks the water from the well will return to Malacca in the future. Zheng He only returned to Malacca several times because he drank the water from the well. There are also legends about Sanbaojing that Zheng He chiseled it.
