Chorlton Water Park. Charlton Water Park is located in a nature reserve on the southern outskirts of Manchester. During the construction of the M60 Highway in the 1970s, the gravel pits dug were flooded, forming today's water park. The park covers about 170 acres and can be used for fishing, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and other water sports, as well as a forest trail with more than 20 types of trees.
