Teotihuacan in Mexico City is also known as the Sun and Moon Pyramid. Teotihuacan means "the place to create the sun and the moon god" in the Indian Nava language, and some people interpret it as "the capital of the gods." Teotihuacan's significance for Mexico is equivalent to the pyramid in Egypt. But unlike the Egyptian pyramid, this sun and moon pyramid is not the tomb of the king, but a place of worship for religious ceremonies. The the Pyramid of the Moon is located at the northern end of the Dead Avenue and is the place to worship the moon god. Its architectural style is the same as that of the Sun Pyramid, but it is smaller and built 200 years later than the Sun Pyramid. Compared with the former, the construction of the Moon Pyramid is more elaborate, and its inclination angles are different for each of the 200 steps.
