自駕旅行一定要去的:苗栗

Tzao Juang Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
棗莊古藝庭園膳坊
This is a Hakka restaurant that serves delicious food, and most of their signature dishes are jujube based. Their jujube tea is very tasty, too.
My favourite dish was the braised bittergourd (which you can see on my 5th picture). All of their other dishes were delicious, too.
It is recommended that you make a reservation before heading down as it is very crowded. There is a big parking space just right opposite the restaurant. Many locals and tour buses come to eat.
If you have more than 10 people, it is best to get a private room like we did. More privacy and not as noisy.
Their service was not too bad, but it could be better. I guess it is because the restaurant was packed during lunchtime.
But most importantly, food was great.
Really strongly recommend 👍

Cing Jing Ranch Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Up close & personal with 🐏🐑
#wheretogo
Paid a visit to Cingjing farm 2 weeks ago during my Taiwan trip and I must say it was a fun experience!
Entry fee: NTD200 (~$8.50)
Animal feed: NTD30 (~$1.30)
The pasture was a large space for the sheep to roam freely. Animal feed could be purchased from vending machines located around the farm & comes in kibbles or hay. During my visit, most of the sheep were more interested in kibbles!
As it was autumn period & the farm is located on the mountains, the weather was around 25 degree Celsius & there wasn’t any foul smell despite the fecal matter laying around (maybe it would be a different story in summer).
Overall would definitely recommend a trip out as it was fun to interact with the sheep, which would be an enjoyable experience especially for kids!
