　I headed east from the city of Mikasa. The flat land with rice fields on both sides of the road ended, and I could see this Katsurazawa Dam on the right side of entering the mountains. It was a straight dam. Right next to it, the construction of the Shin Katsurazawa Dam was underway. When this Shin Katsurazawa Dam is completed, the water level of Lake Katsurazawa rises, and the current Katsurazawa Dam is submerged.

　Run east from Mikasa ＩＣ to １０ｋｍ on the Hokkaido Expressway. The road continues from the flat ground where the rice fields spread.
