This is located on the outskirts of Mikasa City. It is likely to open in 1987 as the birthplace of the Hokkaido Railway for historical heritage and cultural preservation. Authentic steam locomotives S-304 and mini railroads run, exhibiting various vehicles that have been active in various parts of Hokkaido in the past, and you can enjoy them regardless of age or gender. There is also a railway memorial hall, so I think it's irresistible for railway fans.
It is a park built on the site of the station on the former Jnr Horonai Line heading south from Mikasa City, and there is the Horonai zone where the Railway Memorial Hall is located and the Mikasa zone called Crawford Park. In the Horonouchi Zone, the railway memorial hall centered on models and materials exhibitions, and old-fashioned vehicles such as diesel cars and Russell cars are exhibited outdoors. Recommended for those with small children. You can also ride the mini Shinkansen. You can also ride SL for 300 yen on Saturdays and Sundays. It is a real SL, so it is also recommended for railroad enthusiasts.
An old railroad vehicle is preserved here, where you can experience sl maneuvering. There is a diorama inside, and there is also an exhibition of Plarail.
You can enjoy it.
