🤗🩷 During our fantastic vacation, I went on a thrilling journey to the lively city of Japan. The beginning of spring had brought a special allure to the surroundings, and we felt energized as we wandered around the famous Inokashira Park. Discovering the luxurious scenery of this picturesque paradise, we were mesmerized by the breathtaking views that greeted us at every corner.
Situated a mere 15 minutes away from the heart of Tokyo, this enchanting Inokashira park offers a plethora of activities to indulge in for an afternoon of leisure. From a captivating zoo to a pond adorned with whimsically shaped rental boats, and playground amenities to entertain the little ones, there is no shortage of entertainment. On the southern side lies the esteemed Studio Ghibli museum, a pilgrimage site for anime enthusiasts. During weekends, the park transforms into a vibrant hub bustling with street vendors, musicians, and artists. As the end of March approaches, the park becomes a picturesque scene with cherry blossoms in full bloom, attracting crowds for hanami festivities. A visit to this park during this time is truly a memorable experience.
The luxurious and enchanting sanctuary has left an indelible mark on the deepest corners of my mind. The pure joy of returning and savoring every moment in this unmatched haven is truly beyond compare. 💕😘🌸💮#mytravelhacks #historicallandmarks #localguides #familytrip #trip
Best Tokyo Sakura Spot
#cherryblossom2024
One of the best cherry blossom spots in Tokyo
Inokasira Park has about 500 cherry trees growing along the shores of a clear mirror lake. This incredibly beautiful place is one of the best parks in Tokyo.
We recommend it
To see the cherry blossom in late March — early April
Take a ride on the lake on an unusual boat in the shape of a swan
It is interesting
Inokasira celebrated its centenary in 2017
The park was a gift to the people of Japan from the imperial family
Most of the sakura trees grow near the lake, many of them overhang the surface of the water
How to get there
The nearest train station to the park is JR Kichijoji, about 30 minutes from the center of Tokyo.
Kichijoji can be reached from Shinjuku Station via the JR Chuo Line. An alternative route is from Shibuya Station on the Keio Line to Inokashira-koen Station.
A time for fun
Inokashira Park is especially lively during the cherry blossom season. Many visitors ,spread mats and arrange picnics to relax under the shade of flowering trees. On weekends, it is better to come early in order to have time to take a seat, but in the middle of the week there is less noise and fuss here.
Not only sakura
There are a lot of interesting things in Inokasir Park. There is a duck pond, a zoo and an aquarium. You can visit the temple of Bandzaiten— the goddess of music and eloquence. The museum of the famous studio Ghibli is also located on the territory of the park. To visit it, you need to buy a separate ticket.
Rainy Cherry Blossom in Inokashira park
The nearest station to Inokashira part is Kichijoji station.
You’ll walk passing by a lot of vintage or second hands store before the park.
Unfortunately, we came on cloudy and rainy day, so we could not rent the boat and paddle around the large pond :(
Best time to visit is late march to early april~
Admission fee is free

Ogawa Cafe Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Great coffee and Desserts
The building might look very industrial, with bare colors on the wall or outside. This place has a great vibe and ambience, even if you are not a coffee lover, you would surely find a coffee to suit your taste. They had wide range of coffee beans to choose from. There’s one kind for every person. Also they serve very tasty desserts inspired by Kyoto dairy. My favourite pick- Costa Rica Santa Lucia coffee

Inokashirabenzaiten Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Walk around nature and have your money blessed
About half an hour train ride from Shinjuku, Tokyo Japan. We took a visit to Kichijōji, a more neighbourly area within Tokyo. In the area is a beautiful park that would take you away from the city like area.
The path goes around their large lake, there are multiple bridges within which you can take a nice walk around. Take a walk around their national park with a swan deck or to their Aquatic Life House with regional reptiles. We sat next to the lake after grabbing a nice cold bottle of tea from their vending machines. Listened to nature for a while.
Then we went to their temple inside of the park named Inokashira Benzaiten; it is an iconic shrine within the park where you bless for money. The interesting part is to take out our money, put it into a basket and wash it in their shrine water.
If you’ve got the time, you can walk a little further to visit the park zoo and the Ghibli Museum.
