[Ryugu Kannon and Yanggu Temple]is a temple located in the deep mountains of Nagao-kyo, Kyoto Prefecture, with a history of 1200 years. It is a temple that blesses eye health and is also famous for viewing purple sunflowers🍃 in addition to autumn maple leaves🍁.
Every year during the rainy season, the purple sunflowers in the temple compete to bloom, filling the courtyard with dreamy shades of blue, purple, red, and white. In recent years, it has become popular because of the "flower watering" in the temple. There are two flower watering areas in the temple, namely the "Dragon Flower Watering" and the "Courtyard Flower Watering".
"Shoushui" is similar to a hand-washing sink, but specifically refers to the place where Buddhist devotees wash their hands in temples and monasteries. "Hua Shoushui" is the practice of regularly cutting various flowers and placing them in a basin, creating a serene and meditative atmosphere in addition to enjoying the beauty of the flowers.
