About Nanjing

Nanjing was called Jinling in ancient times. This settlement was an ancient capital thousands of years ago throughout several dynasties and kingdoms, and the traces of history can be found here wherever you go. When in Nanjing, climbing atop Taicheng, a five-minute walk on top of the Ming Great Wall, on the south bank of Xuanwu Lake. This city wall, with 600 years of history, looks east to the verdure of Zhongshan, while the blue waters of the Xuanwu Lake ripple in your gaze and the bells of the ancient Jiming Temple resound in the distance. Stroll through the beautiful Yihe Mansions area, get a cup of coffee in the renown 1912 district, or walk beneath the colorful canopies of hundred-year-old trees in the warm sun, and history will unfold before you moment by moment. Once night falls, you can get aboard a pleasure boat and travel by night along the Qin Huai River, where enjoying the ancient beauty on the riverbanks by streetlamp is even more enchanting. All the while you can experience the beautiful setting of the poem “A Mooring on the River Qin Huai.”

The Presidential Palace of Nanjing has a long history and prominent reputation. During the Qing Dynasty, it is the Weaving department of Jiangning and the Administrative headquarters of Jiangnan. On New Year's Day in 1912, Father of Modern China Dr Sun Yat-sen was appointed as the interim president at this location. Sun Yat-sen used this place as the president’s office and meeting room thereafter. Since then, the palace served as the presidential residence of the Kuomintang government. The building is a mixture of Chinese and Western architectural styles. It is generously proportioned and intriguing to look at. Zhongshan is often surrounded by purple clouds and so it is also known as Purple Mountain. Zhongshan and Houhu are in harmony, with a foundation in Nanjing. With the trend of “Dragons”, Zhongshan stands on the bank of the Yangtze River, covered in smog, and after thousands of years, it is still covered in lush greenery.  The number of kings and heroes, pines and multiculturism were outstanding in the mountains. Amongst these are the Six dynasty culture, the Ming dynasty culture, the Republican culture, the landscape culture, the ecological leisure culture, and the Buddhist culture. It is the “first mountain of humanity in the Chinese city.”

I have visited the Qinhuai River in Nanjing Confucius Temple more than once. Every time I visit, I feel different. When you mention the Qinhuai River, you will inevitably think of Du Mu's poem: “the smoke cage cold water, the low-pitched sing, the moon's backyard flowers. . .” Everything that depicts a cold Qinhuai night.  Nowadays, the Qinhuai River is not the same as it was at that time. Looking at the bustling and brightly lit scene, it is quite different from what you would imagine. When Nanjing is rainy, it is too sentimental in my eyes, but it is also unique. During the trip, I always felt that the scenery needed a blue sky and white clouds to look good. But Nanjing has an unparalleled rainy temperament.

In the fall, the most beautiful part of Jinling is the Zhongshan Scenic Area. There are many tourist attractions here, such as Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Meiling Palace, Linggu Temple and so on. Even a random Wutong Avenue in the mountains can be amazing in the fall. In the Wutong Avenue in the mountains, the leaves of the phoenix tree are all yellow, and when the wind blows, it falls a lot with the wind.  In the early morning, the fallen leaves had not yet been swept away and when I walked on it, it made a sound. This road is my favourite one. In the summer, the trees are shaded by the sun. It is a rare summer resort. The golden leaves in autumn are very charming. It is not as nice in the winter since there is a trace of desolateness and depression. The best place to take pictures here is the stone road in Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum.

Nanjing 1912 Bar Street is the place where Nanjing nightlife begins. It became a business place of Nanjing with its distinctive architecture of the Republic of China. Take bus No. 34 to the east side of Daxinggong and walk on foot.  In 1912, a tree of life was designed by Taiwanese designer Mr. Zhao Minzhi, and carefully crafted by the Coco-Cola Company. The tree of life uses the curved bottle of Coco-Cola as the trunk and grows heart-shaped branches and leaves. There are hollows on the treetops and the dove pattern symbolizes peace and freedom.

Next to the spa at the Woge Hot Spring Hotel is a large public hot spring plaza with hot spring bathing pool, hot spring swimming pool, sauna steam room, gym and massage room. The hot spring bathing pools are cold spring pool, bubble pool, impact pool, floating bath, and hot spring massage pool. There is also a Southeast Asian-style sling house next to it for everyone to rest and chat. Speaking of more fun, there is an open-air hot spring pool, located in the landscaping area outside the indoor hot springs. Surrounded by green trees, the path is faint, and there seems to be a feeling of indulging in the landscape between the mountains and the water. This kind of mountain fun is not something that ordinary spas can enjoy. After a comfortable hot spring, if you come with a child to visit the family, you can also experience the DIY pottery hall on the first floor. Pottery is really a technical job. Although there is a teacher with a pottery teacher with hands-on teaching, the pile of clay seems to be in the hands of his own hands. In the hands of the teacher, he is obedient, and for a while. I made a small utensil, but when I got it in my hands, with the help of the teacher, I was able to complete a work. Ceramic is a very skillful and patient work. The strength must be mastered. It should not be lighter, nor can it be a point. Only a perfect combination of all aspects can produce a perfect work. There were all kinds of utensils on the cabinet next to them, which were made by the previous tenants. After the completion of the utensils can choose to take away, you can also stay here, but here is not supported for baking, so you can only wait for the natural drying.
