Cliff of Thousand Buddhas

Qianfoyan is located at the back of Qixia Temple at the foot of Qixia Mountain, Qixia Road, Qixia District, Nanjing City. It is a landscape that has a long history when natural rocks have carved many Buddha statues, but there are not many Buddha statues preserved.

Qianfo Rock is located on the rock wall of Qixia Mountain, which was gradually opened from the southern dynasty. The Tang, Song and Yuanming generations have been opened. It is said that there are about 700 Buddha statues, all sizes are there, so it is known as Qianfo Rock.

Although it is not as good as the big mountain Buddhas such as Yungang Grottoes Longmen Grottoes, the scene is still very shocking. The small stone mountains are densely packed with Buddhas. A stone cave can be opened in a larger place. The small place is a stone.

Qianfo Rock is located on the rock wall of Qixia Mountain Shamao Peak to Zipen Peak West. Qianfo Rock was repaired and engraved in the Song and Ming generations. The famous "Dongfeitian is in the Buddha No. 102. This cave is very small. There are 5 Buddha statues. The two groups of flying sky on the top of the cave are orange and the lines are clear and discernable. The flames on top of the Buddha's head are faintly visible.

In Qixia Temple, there is a small mountain. From the north and south, countless craftsmen have carved large and small grottoes on the rocks. Today, they are called the Thousand Buddhas Rock Grottoes.
