Yongjiang River

Lijiang River is known as the mother river of Nanning City. Like a green ribbon, the river winds around the city. The most beautiful place in the Lijiang River during the day is the area around the Huluding Bridge, which is a big turn of the Lijiang River. God's perspective is very beautiful.  On the edge of the Minjiang River Bridge is Nanning's most famous snack street, Zhongshan Road, which is a scenic spot along the Li River. Because the two sides have done greening and lamp belt projects in recent years, it is beautiful at night, and the colorful neon lights decorate the city of Nanning.

Sharing some tips while also helping everyone avoid potential disappointments. It's not that Weizhou Island is not nice, it's just not as great as described online 😅 Transportation✈️🚢 Flights from Hangzhou to Beihai are scarce and at inconvenient times, so I flew to Nanning, played for a day, then took the high-speed train to Beihai to catch a ferry to the island. Not flying directly to Beihai makes the journey more complicated... The island is quite small, mainly e-scooters➕tourist buses. It's cost-effective to charter a tourist bus when in a group. Accommodation🏠 Booked a homestay near the Colorful Beach for the sunrise, everything else was ok, but the breakfast was too perfunctory... It's been a long time since I've had such a sloppy breakfast (if you don't mind, you can PM me to ask). Food🍽️ 🔶Nanning 🔸Gui Xiaochu: Tastes good👍 🔷Weizhou Island (for the convenience of the elders, we dined near the scenic spots) 🔹Jiefu·Vietnamese Beef Pho: Can't believe this was my favorite meal! Nice environment, delicious💯 🔹Jingye Restaurant: Scenic spot, ‼️you can't see the sunset here, only the afterglow🫠Average dishes, but the environment wins. 🔹starry Starry Coast: Seaside scenic spot, average taste, located at Shiluokou Beach, where you can eat while watching the sunset, good for taking photos. 🔹Chicken Auntie·Coconut Chicken: Average coconut chicken, compared to the ones I've had before, I personally find it overpriced and in small portions. 🔹Daydream Fusion Restaurant: Passionfruit ribs are delicious (don't go to the coconut seller next to it towards the church direction, I bought a bad one, and when I found the seller within three minutes, he cursed and said I didn't buy it from him / 'See You Tomorrow' mango ice on the same street is okay🉑️) 🔹Homestay Lunch: The homestay bought seafood and processed it, which was the best seafood meal on the island🤤Banana chicken is delicious🐔 🔹Fruits: Jackfruit and bananas are delicious, there are also longan and starfruit trees near the homestay that you can pick and eat. Many water activities available. day4⃣️Weizhou Island 🟡Catholic Church The church and its surroundings are blocked off at every intersection to collect tourist bus fees, which is really unsightly❗️There's a small path you can navigate on your own, if you can't find it, you can pay a local 10 yuan to guide you. Ordinary church➕back garden. Next to it is a street with restaurants, shops, and coffee shops. 🔵Shell Beach Less crowded, feels okay! Really found some beautiful shells🐚 day5⃣️ After four days on the island, because of 🪖drills... tired, lay like a corpse for a day, got the return ticket in the afternoon and went back to Beihai. But I really have to say, there's too much trash on the island🫣

On the bank of Yongjiang River on Jiangbei Avenue, a small yellow building stands quietly. This building used to be the Nanning Customs House, witnessing the prosperity of the past; now it is a Christian church, only open on weekends. The building itself is very beautiful, with high arches and strong lines; at four or five in the afternoon, the light and shadow make the small yellow building seem to glow. Night river cruise at Yongjiang River is another experience in Nanning. when you are at Nanning take your time to explore the area at Yongjiang river. The scenic view of the area are beautiful at night with the light along the river. You can buy a ticket at the tourism counter and it cost about 88 - 128 CYN depending the sit you choose. The top area will be more windy and you can see the panoramic of Nanning along the river clearly. The cruise take about one hour without stop at any area, and the information or explanation of the place in Chinese language which I cannot understand.
