I always get the house chicken, bok choy, and a duck congee. Service is absolutely terrible, but the food is unrealistically cheap and delicious, been one of my favorite places to go for 12 years.
For the perfect hangover cure, head to Congee Village to drink a pot of tea with an order of Pan Fried Dry Shrimp Noodles and Pork, Chicken, and Duck Congee. Read all about it on WinstonWanders below!
Congee is ok...14 of us at one table, came out to about $35pp with like 12 dishes. Everything is decent, nothing stood out for me
Recommended Dishes: Salt & Pepper Squid, Razor Clams, Flounder in Two Styles, Pan Fried Tofu, Peking Porkchops, & Fuzhou Fried Rice.
Everything was great, specially the rice cooked in the bamboo with the mushrooms
Any congee plus Ginseng chicken soup! Can't go wrong with that on a cold winter night.
Tough call. You have to put up with a crappy service in order to get awesome Food. Also lots of patience required. Try any of the congees, think of rice oatmeal with seafood or meat.
House Chicken special and pan-fried tofu. Done.
Phenomenal - wow. Sliced pork and preserved egg congee, crab congee, sha cha beef, deep friend intestines, sauteed jumbo shrimp - cannot go wrong with these. Looking forward to my next visit already.
Seafood soup is the best thing
