Under the mysterious Qian Lake in Ningbo, there is a hidden Penglai Fairy Island
Under the mysterious Qian Lake in Ningbo, there is a hidden Penglai Fairy Island. Er Ling Mountain, located in the southeast of Dongqian Lake, facing Xiayu Mountain to the west and Yuebo Mountain to the north across the lake, is named for its 'mountain spirit and water spirit'. Once upon a time, there were three wonders on Er Ling Mountain: Er Ling Temple, Er Ling Pagoda, and Er Ling Mountain House. Er Ling Zen Temple, with the opening of Qian Lake's mystery and the connection of land routes in recent years, gradually emerged in everyone's eyes. The incense has been continuous for nearly a thousand years, until it was destroyed in the 1960s and began to be restored in the 1980s. - Er Ling Pagoda, according to the stone inscription, was built in the Northern Song Dynasty, nearly a thousand years ago. It is precisely the previous seclusion that allows the present scene to appear before us! When the sun sets, when the sunlight hits the Er Ling Pagoda, the shadow of the pagoda is reflected in the water, this is one of the ten scenes of Dongqian Lake, Er Ling Sunset. The pagoda is 9 meters high, with a seven-layer hollow structure on all sides! Travel guide: Navigation: Er Ling Zen Temple, located in the Qian Lake mystery, cannot be reached directly by car. 8 Transportation: You can enter the Qian Lake mystery by walking from Xiaoputuo or the underwater wetland, or take the scenic battery car to the Yuanrong Square after entering from Xiaoputuo. Distance: About 4 kilometers walk from Xiaoputuo, estimated tour: 2-3 hours. Er Ling Pagoda route: Enter from the right hand side facing the gate! Not in the temple
Hiking Through History and Nature
💗 Dongqian Lake near Ningbo boasts a collection of breathtaking hiking trails that are nothing short of incredible. One of the most popular trails is the Hengjie Trail, which takes hikers through bamboo forests, pine forests, and tea plantations. The trail is a six-hour hike through the tea hills, surrounded by nature and providing gorgeous views overlooking the lake. It's a good climb up, but the scenery makes it worth the effort.
🥾 The Hengjie Trail is steeped in history, with the surrounding areas being home to ancient villages that date back over a thousand years. The trails were once used by the villagers to transport tea, rice, and other goods to the nearby towns. Today, the trails are a popular spot for hikers and nature enthusiasts.
🚶♀️ Hikers need to be prepared for the weather, as it can get windy and chilly in the hills. It's important to pack warm clothes and a jacket, as well as plenty of snacks as there are no places to eat or stock up along the way. The signage along the trail is not the best, so hikers need to keep an eye out and be prepared to get lost in the woods for hours if they're not careful.
⛰️ 🍵 The Hengjie Trail is an incredible hiking experience that's not to be missed if you're visiting Dongqian Lake. The history, scenery, and challenging climb make it an unforgettable adventure for hikers of all skill levels. Just make sure to pack accordingly and be prepared for an amazing journey through the tea hills.

Discovering the Beauty of Dongqian Lake
✨ Dongqian Lake, also known as "Fortune Lake," is a stunning freshwater lake located in Ningbo, Zhejiang province. This picturesque destination offers a wide range of activities for travelers to enjoy. Visitors can rent carts to drive around the lake, but be warned that they go very slow along the boardwalks, and it may not be worth the price tag. Instead, take advantage of the many delicious local restaurants that circle the lake - we indulged in the local cuisine.
🤩 The lake also boasts a beautiful small temple and many homestays for those looking for a more immersive experience. You can join locals picnicking along the shore or explore the many cycling and walking tracks that wind through the mountains and tea fields. The area can be super windy, but it's easy to get to and just a short trip from Ningbo.
To get there, you can take a bus or taxi from Ningbo, which is only about 20 kilometers away. Once you arrive, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy, from boating and fishing to hiking and cycling. The natural beauty of the lake is breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere is perfect for relaxation and reflection.

😋 Tairyo TEPPANYAKI in China 🇨🇳
One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Ningbo, which luckily has many branches around China: Tairyo Teppanyaki! This one is located in Tianyi Square, on the fourth floor of the International Shopping Center.
If you’re a foodie and enjoy all-you-can-eat restaurants, this is the place to go. Make sure you arrive ✨hungry✨! For ¥228/person (drinks included), you can order from a huge online menu and watch the food be prepared right in front of you, served up by knife-wielding chefs who slice and dice everything from beef and lambchops to cod filets and shrimps!
The quality of the dishes is great, very well served and perfectly seasoned every time. From sushi, to meat, to fried rice, noodles, veggies, and a variety of desserts, Teppanyaki is an amazing place to go with a group of friends to enjoy a night out.
🍺 Some drinks they serve:
-beer
-soft drinks
-sake
-juices
-wine
-water
🍱 Some food options:
-sashimi (salmon, tuna, white fish)
-sushi
-foie gras
-clams with cheese
-fried shrimps
-soups
-fried rice
-noodles
-lamb
-oysters
and literally soooo much more
To end your night, scoop up a ball of ice cream and ask them for a flaming banana to go with it! 🍦

Tianyi Ge in Ningbo
Ningbo isn’t known for too many tourist attractions, but its most famous one, Tianyi Ge, is worth a visit for sure!
Tianyi Ge is a massive garden that is home to the oldest library in China 🤯
When you’re through exploring the gardens, rent an e-scooter and make your way through the city! They’re everywhere, come with helmets, and are only 1.5 CNY/30 min!

Ningbo must hit the card, Qianqiu pen Tianyi Pavilion
before the Tianyi Pavilion, the understanding of it seems to be limited to its name and its book collection. I think it should be a small building with a strong book flavor, a building that records the historical changes since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. After that, I was amazed at the fact that such a well-known library building was located in a narrow street less than 100 meters.
In the late Jiajing period, the scholar Fan Qin was a 27-year-old scholar, and followed the axiom of Confucianism, and he entered the career path. He is addicted to books, and every time he takes office, he first collects a good book, and in his later years, he builds a library, and he does not leave the house, reading, copying books, and repairing ancient books. "Book of Changes" has a cloud: the sky is a raw water, the land is 60%. The library is most afraid of fire, so this building is named Tianyi Pavilion. The bookcase is hard-topped and has a wide-scale structure. The building is wide and the upper floor is a large one. There are six rooms downstairs, which is exactly the same as the "Tianyidi Six". There are corridors in front and back to communicate with each other. There is a "Tianyichi" in front of the building. The water is diverted into the pool from the Yuehu Lake. Tianyi Pavilion is fortunate. We should thank Fan Qin and Fans family for their adherence to the cabinet, and the guardianship of many people, so that the cultural treasures have not disappeared, so that we can have the good news today. The history of the book is incense.
The park is very large, and it is not bad to walk around at will. The East Garden and the South Park are scattered in the mountains, ponds, pavilions, etc., which are very tasteful and comfortable. Perhaps for the people of this city, Tianyi Pavilion is not just a quiet courtyard. It has long been a symbol, a totem, and a living code of conduct that has survived. It is this respect and respect for culture that has made the development and prosperity of a city.
Located in the urban area of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, it is the earliest private library building in China. It is also the oldest library in Asia and one of the world's first three family libraries.
was built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty and was built by Fan Qin, the right minister of the retreat. Many of the exhibition halls display books collected by Fan's family all over the world.
The building combines traditional folk crafts such as wood carving, brick carving, stone carving, gold decoration and copying. It is a masterpiece of Ningbo residential architecture.
day - There is also an interesting mahjong museum in the pavilion, which has become a popular choice for many people to take pictures.

Xuedou Mountain Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
XUFUYAN WATERFALL 💦
Now that the weather is warming up in Ningbo, this is definitely a place you’ll want to visit to cool off and tune out of the city vibe!
Xufuyan Waterfall, located about 6km west to Xuedou Temple, is well-known in the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River for its highly-hanging waterfall and perilous precipice. It got the name of "Xufu" from the story that an immortal rose slowly to heaven from here on a wild animal, "Fu".
Xufu Cliff is 667m high while the falling head is 242m, which is called "the First Waterfall
in east China". Besides, the steep cliffs here are very striking and beautiful. Many famous poets in the Tang Dynasty (960-1127), including Liu Changqin, Pi Rixiu, Lu Guimeng, Fang Gan, etc, were enchanted by the beautiful scenery here and wrote many poems about it.
At the entrance m, you need to purchase a ticket and you can choose the package you want, some of the options include:
🔹only hiking
🔹camping
🔹glass bridge
🔹via ferrata
When you make your way down to the waterfall, you will encounter a lot of steps. And I do mean a LOT. The infrastructure is great, so you don’t need to worry about the ground itself, but man it’s tiring 😅 Close to the waterfall, there is also an incredibly well-maintained bathroom. I was surprised at how clean it was and it smelled so good. I had no problems to change clothes and use the restroom when needed, that made the trip 10x better!
In front of the waterfall there is a small sand area where we were able to sit, tan, enjoy the views, and have a picnic 😋 In case you plan on doing the same, make sure to bring a trash bag with you and clean up when you’re done! Leave the place as you found it.
Although there is a sign saying swimming is prohibited, the day was just too hot to not enjoy that crystal blue water. During the hours when the sun is fully out, the place was pretty much empty, so I took advantage of that and went for a swim. 💯% worth it. The water is amazing, super clear, and shallow the first two or three meters. After that it does get deep, good to dive and swim around! I do believe the sign is there just for precaution, as the area is not really monitored (there are cameras right there, but no actual security or life guards), and not because the water is potentially dangerous or something. But that’s just my personal opinion and I actually have no idea lol
⚠️ Do watch out for animals around you at all times. As we were leaving, we spotted a little snake swimming across the water! 🐍

Xuedou Mountain has been famous since ancient times. It is recorded that Emperor Renzhao of the Northern Song Dynasty once dreamed of "the table of the eight poles". After waking up, he was deeply attracted by the beauty of the dream, and sent people to the world to paint the world famous mountains. He contrasts. When he saw the landscape of Xuedou Mountain, Shuangliuxiaoqi, Zhulins pretty show, he was attracted to it at once. He determined that Xuedoushan is the eight poles he dreamed of, and Xuedoushan became famous. . In the five years of Yongyou, the Southern Song Dynasty Lizong Zhao Wei commemorated the first emperor's sleep in the snow sinus, chasing the four characters of the book "Yingmeng famous mountain", sent people to Xuedoushan.
Sanyintan is the essence of the entire Xuedou Mountain. It is more than 1,600 meters in length and forms a three-level waterfall under the mountain. It is a rare step waterfall in eastern Zhejiang. The three waterfalls form the upper, middle and lower waterfalls with different styles and fantastic depths.
Walk in the Snow Dou Mountain. Anything that is hot under the sun is not good. It is very cool in the shade. Fortunately, the vegetation on the mountain is lush, and there are basically shades of trees. It is very comfortable to walk under the shade.

Nantang Ancient Street is in the centre of Ningbo, close to the Railway Station and lines 2 and 4 of Ningbo’s Metro system.
It’s home to small food stands which line some streets and runs along the river. You can see locals fishing and cleaning in the river as you walk through. Xiangshan Movie and Television City Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Visit the 'The Return of the Condor Heroes' set, sealed for 20 years, and even find Little Dragon Girl
❤Recommended reason: Everyone must have watched Mr. Jin Yong's martial arts drama 'The Return of the Condor Heroes', right? Not only captivated by the fairy-like image of Little Dragon Girl, but also curious about what the Tomb of the Living Dead, which can house people, really looks like, and really want to take a look inside. After so many years, there is finally a chance to fulfill this childhood dream. Enter the Tomb of the Living Dead to explore and seek the charming traces of Little Dragon Girl, and witness her true face.
🌟Highlights: In 2003, Zhang Jizhong invested in the construction of 'Condor Hero City' for the filming of 'The Return of the Condor Heroes'. After more than 20 years of development, the scale of Xiangshan Film and Television City has expanded several times, becoming the number one scenic spot in Ningbo. During the Dragon Year Spring Festival, the Tomb of the Living Dead, sealed for 20 years, was grandly introduced. This is the real scene of the filming of 'The Return of the Condor Heroes', which has been transformed with high-tech audio-visual effects and officially opened to tourists, becoming a must-visit spot for martial arts fans.
✅Must Experience: The Water Curtain Cave is a filming location for 'Journey to the West'. The Tomb of the Living Dead is right underneath this huge structure. As soon as you walk to the entrance of the tomb, a chill hits you, and stepping inside, you suddenly switch to another world. The dim and hazy lighting renders the cave with a thick mysterious atmosphere, a bit like a combination of a super-large haunted house and an escape room, bringing the thrill and excitement of exploration.
✅Must Experience: The entire Tomb of the Living Dead has a total of 13 themed areas, each with its own characteristics. The mysterious underground army is already in full array, just like the underground palace of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, as if it is about to come back to life at any second. Coupled with the combination of sound and light, visitors exclaim: It's so real! So scary!
✅Must Experience: If you accidentally enter the training chamber, on the huge Bagua platform, a group of martial arts masters are sitting on it, running their energy to heal the injured. The novel describes that at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, when the Jin soldiers invaded, Wang Chongyang used the cave to pretend to be an ancient tomb to place military weapons, waiting to rise again in the east to resist the Jin. After the fall of the Northern Song Dynasty, Wang Chongyang lived in the tomb for a long time. Because he fell in love with Lin Chaoying, but could not end up together, he deliberately lost a martial contest and gave the ancient tomb to Lin Chaoying.
👍Most Recommended: Lin Chaoying has a female disciple called Little Dragon Girl, who has been living in the tomb. Little Dragon Girl has a disciple called Yang Guo, and Yang Guo has a mount, a giant eagle, all in the tomb, but Yang Guo's figure is not seen, probably poisoned by the Love Flower, hiding.
👍Most Recommended: There is a sacrificial room here, with two doors at the exit, one of life and one of death. You make your own choice. Inside the door of death hangs a coffin, dark and terrifying; outside the door of life is a vibrant scene, with peach blossoms blooming and bamboo forests standing, like the secret Peach Blossom Spring described by Tao Yuanming.
👍Most Recommended: Passing through the peach garden, you come to the main theme scene of this 'Search for Little Dragon Girl', where there is the precious treasure of the Ancient Tomb Sect - the Ice Bed. It is said that practicing on this bed can greatly increase your power. Of course, there is also the long-sought Little Dragon Girl. After all the trouble to find this place, take a photo with Little Dragon Girl!

There is a dream factory, a time-travel space, a dreamland, successfully rated as one of the top ten film and television bases in China, a national 4A-level scenic spot, the first batch of the most distinctive and charming tourist destinations in the Asian Golden Travel Awards and other honorary titles.
It has become the first brand of Ningbo's cultural tourism, with a brand value of 10.26 billion yuan. It is the first real-life movie theme park in China, the "Xiangshan Film and Television City" with a total area of 1176 acres.
After entering the park, everyone can get a map from the self-service machine, which has the entire route map of the scenic area and the performance schedule. There are nearly 15 theaters of various sizes.
❗Remember not to rent a bicycle after entering the film and television city, it is meaningless, a few steps is a viewing area, and you have to stop the bicycle, it is really chicken ribs.
✨Scenic spots
❶Starlight Square
Poster corridor, you can see the important development history of Chinese movies and TV dramas filmed in Xiangshan Film and Television City, such as Orphan of Zhao.

❹If there are friends who love ancient costumes, this is a must-visit place. Take a casual shot and dream back to ancient times.
❺Next is Xiangyang City, I think this is the most fun, the arrangement in front of the city gate tower seems to have seen in countless TV dramas.
Go further in, the soldiers standing next to the city gate tower give people a feeling of traveling back to ancient times.
❻There are large and small shops along the street in Xiangyang City. If you are hungry, you can have a bowl of hot wontons. The price is very grounded! The taste is very fresh!
👉Normally, two and a half hours is enough for a visit. If you want to catch a theater performance, it will be later. Remember to check the time on the map, don't miss the performance.

Elephant Mountain 3 days 2 nights eating, drinking and playing nanny-level travel guide
Always go to Elephant Mountain, a seaside city near Ningbo. It gives me a feeling of Hayao Miyazaki's fairy tale world, blue sky, white clouds and the sea.
Hua'ao Island
Known as the small Iceland of Ningbo, it is included in the National Geographic Magazine. The black sand beach is really good for taking pictures, and it's a scenic spot that you have to come to even if you have to climb mountains and wade through water.
Colorful Fishing Town
I really like the ancient town with its antique charm, and I listen to the guide's introduction while strolling around. Museum exhibition hall, the changes of history, the traces of events.
-
Elephant Mountain Film and Television City
The shooting location of various films and television shows, there is a chance to encounter stars shooting. Passionate car performances, the night lights are brilliant and unique.
Rice Bucket Mountain
A good place for camping and hiking, the scenery is as beautiful as Hayao Miyazaki's fairy tale world. Didn't see the sheep on a rainy day, will come back to check in on a sunny day next time.
About transportation: We chartered a bus from Shanghai to Elephant Mountain, one way 4 hours, went to many scenic spots, it is more convenient to drive by yourself.
Accommodation sharing: Half Mountain View Hall, a very worthwhile hotel to stay in. The facilities are very complete, you can walk to the beach to watch the sunrise and sunset.
Food recommendation: Any seafood restaurant is very delicious, the seafood is very fresh and plump during the fishing season. In conclusion, Elephant Mountain is very good, will come again next time.
###trip#
"The Ultimate Challenge" was recorded in the Xiangyang City of Xiangshan Film City. When I saw it, I felt that this place was very good. The most important thing is that I like the ultimate man, I can feel the place where they have been, and I am very happy.
Entering the north gate of the film and television city, the first thing that catches your eye is a majestic city wall. This wall with a length of 400 meters, a height of 10 meters and a width of 6 meters has two gates with different shapes. This is Hehe. The famous Puyang City Wall. Among the two city gates, the right side spans the river is a bridge-style water gate city gate with southern characteristics. The water gate can directly enter the city to the water street by boat. On the left is the standard Song Dynasty Dacheng Building, there is a moat in front, and the suspension bridge needs to be lowered. Can enter the city.
