Qianye Hall of Ningbo

Ningbo Qianye Assembly Hall is located at No. 10 Warship Street, Haishu District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Close to the East Gate, adjacent to the famous Tianyi Square in Ningbo City. The Qianye Assembly Hall was founded in the Qing Dynasty and is the only historical and cultural building in the country that has preserved the complete Qianzhuang Industry.

Qianye Hall is located at No. 10 Warship Street, Haishu District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. Built in 1926, it is a Chinese and Western brick and wood structure consisting of two front and back, pavilions and gardens. It is the place where Ningbo's financial industry gatherings and transactions were once held. The Qianye Assembly Hall is conveniently located and the Heyi Avenue bus station is at the door. Currently under renovation.

As a place for gatherings and trading in Ningbo's financial industry in the past, the money industry hall on the edge of the film capital witnessed the 100-year-old wind and clouds in Ala Ningbo. Since it is the only historical and cultural building in Qianzhuang Industry in China, it was listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in the country as early as 2006. At present, it is open to the outside world from 9 am to 4 pm (closed on Monday, stop entering after 3:30 pm), and tickets were previously charged. It is now free to open. Inside, the brick and wooden structure buildings that are both in China and the West before and after, are equipped with many financial products such as currency, Qianzhuang, ticket number and other development history and physical objects.

The combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles conforms to the characteristics of Ningbo in the 1930s. It also reflects the style of the industry. There should be all kinds of small sites. The general feeling is that they are not luxurious, practical, firm, compact and elegant. Looking at the exhibition of the history of Chinese currency, there is no special explanation, but I am surprised to find that more than 300 years ago, the ancestors began to use what we call "copper money" currencies. Alas, at that time, were the ghosts still drinking blood, and once again, national pride exploded.

It covers an area of only 1521 square meters, but it gives us a long insight into the position of Ningbo people in the financial industry in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. It is said that five of the nine major capital groups in Shanghai were run by Ningbo people. At its peak, there were more than 100 large and small banks in Ningbo, which naturally emerged as the times require. The exhibition hall scene is very interesting, the internal and external accounting department, the internal and external logistics department, the treasury, the conference room and so on, let people imagine. The Field Service Department also wears long gowns and hats, as if the field staff were ready to go out to meet customers at any time - although I don't know what they would like to talk to customers, at least to prove that since ancient times, they have to dress neatly when meeting customers. And the conference room made me awe-inspired, because maybe it was here to determine the financial direction of China at that time.
