Following the home of the male owner Arjun, the teacher of the volunteer school, I came to a school a few hundred meters away. Arjun introduced me to several teachers in the school. The school has a total of 6 teachers, 3 men and 3 women, generally in their 30s. The campus is similar to an oval, about 50 meters long and 25 meters wide. There is only one two-storey building in blue and white on campus. On the first floor are six student classrooms, each of which is a grade, the youngest is about 4 or 5 years old, and the children in the highest grade are about 12 years old. The second floor is the library and teacher office. Arjun took me to the office and gave me this English book to show me the preparation for class. I am a little puzzled. The name of my volunteer project is clearly a child center assistant. Shouldnt it be a teachers job? After a few minutes, my doubts were solved, and Shenmas assistants were not teaching assistants. I honestly went downstairs to teach the students, you are the teacher! The first lesson, I came to the third grade classroom, teaching English, the children are about 8 years old. The simple Nepali greetings received the children's response, and the subsequent self-introduction was still harmonious. No one was noisy. The children were obviously curious about my new teacher. They listened to me quietly. When they entered the teaching content, their nature finally revealed, and they started to be naughty. I tried to read the English words aloud to attract their attention and let the class calm down, but I failed. I tried to make a speech without letting them notice that the atmosphere was wrong and then consciously quiet. It didn't work as expected. Probably they think that I can't take care of them, um, I really can't do them. After several trials were blown out, I completely gave up this way. Since the collective teaching does not work, then I will come one by one! Taking advantage of the quietness of the moment, I quickly read the words and then started teaching one by one. I read the students again and read them until I determined that he could pronounce the correct pronunciation before starting the next word or the next student. When I teach students one by one, 20 square meters of the house becomes other children, especially the paradise of the boys, there are plaids on the ground to play hopscotch, there are opinions that are not quarrelsome, and there is a slap on the blackboard. drawn. I had to go to the middle of the scene many times, and even let them go back to their seats and be quiet for a while to read the book. But every time I really can only be quiet for a while, the new one will soon hit. In this way, the two English classes in the second and third grades of the morning, I used a similar method to get it, although the efficiency is a bit low, but at least save the blind, and basically ensure that one will be taught (at least I think so). A few days after , I was assigned to teach mathematics and even natural courses, and I was left in several classrooms. Its really tiring to do volunteers, but it doesnt seem to be as boring as you think. The smiles of the children will always make you work hard and earnestly.
