Carmo Church is of Baroque / Rococo style, built between 1756 and 1768. It was classified as a National Monument in 2013, together with the Church of the Carmelites next door. A glorious example of Porto's traditional 'azulejos' or tiles, which are often blue and white and have been hand-painted. Absolutely beautiful.
A barroque 18th century church built, along with its hospital. The facade is totally covered with handpainted tiles, while the inner altars are covered with gold. Sometimes Pipe organ concerts are organized. Lovelly!
From outside, you don't know if it is a building or three. Because it is one: a tower, plus two faces of rocky style. It is in front of the Garden of the Cordoneria (close to the clergy tower). It is from the 18th century and it is not thought that it would not be at the height of the other churches of Porto: on the right side, the wall has the classic heavenly and white sheets. It is part of the UNESCO set.
Although the Cleric Tower is one of the most visited monuments of the city, the beautiful church is not to be overlooked. The Carmen Church is from the 18th century and has rocky style details inside it.
