Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve

Mayi Valley Nature Reserve is a plant reserve specially opened by the government. The reserve has many precious plants, the most famous of which is more than 4,000 sea coconut trees. It is several meters high and the highest is 30 meters. The coconuts grown on the tree weigh 10 ～ 20 kg, which is the world's largest coconut.

Located at 4°20′ south latitude, 55°45′ east longitude. It is 11 km long (7 miles), 4 km wide (3 km), and covers an area of 42 km2 (16 square miles). It is located 40 km(25 miles) northeast of the main island of Mahe, a mountainous granite island with a peak altitude of 427 meters. The population accounts for 7% of the country. Coconut, wood, herbs and vegetables (especially tomatoes). Cote d'Or beach, Great Bay (Grande Anse) and St. Anne's Bay are tourist attractions.
