CORON ADVENTURE

Coron, one of the top tourist destinations in the Philippines, is best known for world-class World War II-era wreck diving, but the island also offers limestone karst landscapes, beautiful Palawan beaches, crystal-clear freshwater lakes, and shallow-water coral reefs. That's why I didn't want to miss the chance to visit this beautiful island.
So, we had our 3Days2Nights tour in Coron last January, 2023 and the weather that time was nice.
It was an unforgettable experience with some other tourists from France, Canada, Italy and the USA on the boat with us.

Palawan, Philippines - A Tropical Paradise
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the breathtaking island of Palawan in the Philippines, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From its crystal-clear turquoise waters to its lush green jungles, Palawan truly is a tropical paradise.
El Nido, another gem of Palawan, stole my heart with its postcard-perfect beaches and limestone cliffs. I spent my days hopping between small islands and lagoons, snorkeling in vibrant coral reefs, and basking in the sun on powdery white sands. The views were simply breathtaking, and it felt like a dream come true.
Palawan also offers a wide range of activities for adventure seekers. I had the opportunity to go zip-lining through the lush forest canopy of Ugong Rock, which was an exhilarating and adrenaline-pumping experience. Trekking through the Tabon Caves, known for their archaeological significance, allowed me to connect with the rich history of the island.
The hospitality of the locals in Palawan is truly heartwarming. Everywhere I went, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine kindness. The people of Palawan take great pride in their culture and are always ready to share their traditions and stories.
As for the food, Palawan delights the taste buds with its fresh seafood delicacies, such as grilled squid and succulent prawns. The local markets are a treasure trove of exotic fruits, and I highly recommend trying the famous "balut," a Filipino delicacy of a developing bird embryo.
In terms of accommodation, Palawan offers a wide range of options to suit every budget. From luxurious beachfront resorts to cozy guesthouses, there is something for everyone. I opted for a beachfront cottage, allowing me to wake up to the sound of the waves and enjoy the stunning sunsets right from my doorstep.
In conclusion, Palawan is a tropical paradise that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, adventure, and warm hospitality. Whether you are a nature lover, an adventure enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Palawan has it all. I can confidently say that Palawan has left an indelible mark on my heart, and I cannot wait to return to this island again.

Jaw-dropped in El Nido
I went to El Nido for a few days and did Tour A, Tour C and Tour D. I was so fascinated when I reached at some of the places like Small Lagoon even knowing that it would be beautiful from the pictures beforehand. The limestone rock formations, the white-sand beaches, the pristine water… El Nido just has it all. The town is quite touristy and also worth a visit. Want to go back already

Ausan Beach Front Cottages, Port Barton
Address: Ballesteros St., Port Barton, Palawan, San Vicente, 5309, Mimaropa, Philippines
It takes around three hours by van to get to Port Barton from Puerto Princesa airport. When tourists arrive to Puerto Princesa, most of them go to El Nido. But I highly advice you to spend at least few days at Port Barton. If you are looking for some nice and calm place (and much cheaper than in El Nido!) you should definitely come here. They don't have much choice of the hotels in Port Barton, so Ausan Beach Front Cottages is a good place to stay there. Hotel restaurant is right in front of the beach, food is delicious and really cheap. We had a room with a sea view and that was great! We could hear the sound of the waves at night. Highly recommend!

Restaurants in Puerto Princesa
I highly recommend the following TWO restaurants to eat at when you are planning a trip to Puerto Princesa.
1. Badjao Seafront Restaurant
- Great ocean view, beautiful entrance, delicious food and reasonably priced. Try the raw fish "cooked" in vinegar appetizer.
2. Kajoels Restaurant
- To enter the restaurant, you will be required to take off your shoes as to not damage the wooden floors. It is romantic, has great ambiance, and good island feels.
El Nido! a place must be in your list!
Getting There - by flight from Puerto Princesa, then get a van.
Attractions - a lot of tours and diving!
Hotels - for all your tastes and budgets
Food & Restaurants - so many and international…. lack of Local food. you have local one like street food formula
SAKURA'S POOL
Nice place and good for event especially birthday. We celebrate here the birthday of my niece and it's exclusive for our family only. Nice place.#birthday #celebration

Puerto Princesa, Palawan Underground River
1.
Address - Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines
Highlights - Longest navigable subterranean river in the world (5mi). Set in a limestone mountain surrounded by beautiful rock formations, picturesque cyan-blue waters, and dense jungles. A small trek down a trail leads to the entrance of the cave and along the way long-tailed Macaques greet you from the jungle’s edges. Most are just curious and will sit for pictures, but be careful with your belongings as some can be thieves!
Rating - 9.5/10

The highlight of my 2019 was travelling to Palawan with my parents. We went to one of the most popular tourist spot in the philippines which is the Underground River. Those rock formations inside the cave was unbelievably amazing. It took us almost 45mins exporing inside the cave. The tour guide on the boat was very nice and informative. Just a reminder if you’re afraid of dark places maybe this one is not for you. There’s also a lot of bats inside but they are all behave and sleeping during the day so you’ll be fine. #naturetheraphy #itsmorefuninthephilippines #palawansofun #happynewyear #Godswonderfulcreation

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
UNESCO HERITAGE SITE - UNDERGROUND RIVER
The Underground River National Park of Puerto Princessa, Palawan is listed as one of Unesco’s Heritage Site. A must visit place in the Philippines and in the world!#themepark #travel #travelinspiration #live #livelife #adventure
Surrounded by beauty, as far as sight goes.
Visiting Puerto Princesa
A trip to the subterranean river national park is absolutely worth the effort if you're visiting Palawan. It's an otherworldly experience as you paddle through the dark. The clicking of bats and the echoing drips of water are the only sounds you hear. You'll glide through cavernous rock cathedrals and past stalactites into the centre of the earth.
Most tours will take you 4 km (2.5 miles) along the river. Some tours with special permits organised in advance can explore all 8.2 kilometres (5 miles). That far into the cave, boats can no longer pass and visitors have to swim between the rock walls.
Conquer your fears of small, dark spaces however, and you’ll be treated to the rare sights of waterfalls gushing through the cave walls, a unique 20 million-year-old fossil of a sirenia or manatee, and a tiny rock passage that leads into a vast room, carpeted from floor to ceiling in glimmering crystals.
Even the journey to the cave itself is worth it: you’ll enjoy a scenic 20-minute boat ride across the sea, past towering limestone karsts and walk through the national park, home to monkeys swinging through the tree canopies and giant monitor lizards slinking their way through the undergrowth.

Puerto Princesa Palawan
Puerto-Princesa Subterranean River National Park
This park features a spectacular limestone karst landscape with an underground river. One of the river's distinguishing features is that it emerges directly into the sea, and its lower portion is subject to tidal influences. The area also represents a significant habitat for biodiversity conservation. The site contains a full 'mountain-to-sea' ecosystem and has some of the most important forests in Asia.
Puerto-Princesa Subterranean River National Park encompasses one of the world’s most impressive cave systems, featuring spectacular limestone karst landscapes, pristine natural beauty, and intact old-growth forests and distinctive wildlife. It is located in the south-western part of the Philippine Archipelago on the mid western coast of Palawan, approximately 76 km northwest of Puerto Princesa and 360 km southwest of Manila.
