Europe or Canada? - Old Quebec!
#quebec
When we think of Canada, we think of modern skyscrapers, or the beautiful rocky mountains. But there’s another side that looks like Europe in the province of Quebec!
Visit Old Quebec! Old Quebec is a charming and historic district in Quebec City. Its cobblestone streets, 17th-century architecture, and charming boutiques make it a popular tourist destination. The main street has a lot of quaint shops and restaurants, souvenir stores and also places to try the Canadian classic Maple Taffy!
Old Quebec is a must-see for anyone interested in Quebec's unique history and culture. It is also every photographer’s dream in winter time when it literally turns into winter wonderland with all the ornaments, christmas decorations and snow covering the city.

For the first time in 3 years, I was in Canada for Chinese New Year.
The old Quebec is in my opinion one of the most beautiful places in Canada.
When walking around old Quebec, there are tons of little cute shops and a European vibe.
Enjoy your time in La belle province and don’t forget to eat a poutine! 😊

Quebec City, Canada
I was only here for the day as well. we were driving to the east coast and I begged me dad to stop. Such a beautiful town. Old Quebec is a great day stop. Lots to see and take pictures of and plenty of restaurants to try. My only warning is there was not many public washrooms and by that I mean we never found one. There was a government building that has one but I’d suggest using the washroom every time you see one just in case. Otherwise enjoy walking down every street you never know what you might find. I’d love to go back and have more time to plan what I need to see but for a spontaneous trip I don’t think I could have found a better city. #canada #quebec
Québec City: European charm
Québec City is one the only remaining cities with a fortified City wall. As such, it's a city dipped in history, which its historic center, or the Old Town is largely preserved.
The city is divided into the Upper Town and the Lower Town. Both parts of the city are connected by a cute funicular or a short walk. The Upper Town consists of more modern buildings, such as the famous Château Frontenac and the City Hall. This part of town also offers great views of the surrounding landscape.
The Lower Town, however, is the older part of town and is full of character and charm. You will be forgiven if you think you're in a small town in Europe, or France for that matter. The cobblestone streets, small squares and cute buildings all add to the magical charm of the area. Especially if you go towards dusk when the crowds start to thin out and the evening light seeps through, you might even feel like your in a sort of storybook.
Québec City is a city that is great to explore. You'll find historic buildings and you can savor traditional québécois cuisine. Head here in fall for an extra splash of color and character!

The coolest experience Quebec Ice Hotel
Name Quebec Ice Hotel
coordinates Quebec City suburbs business hours 24H
The best time to play in the winter is open to the public
Recommended reason You may have experienced a variety of luxury hotels in the world, not necessarily touched the chic like it. Only a few days a year, those places can feel its uniqueness.
Transportation Self-driving tour
Queube Ice Hotel Arrives in Quebec, the ice hotel in Quebec is seasonally limited. Construction started in the coldest part of the country in November, which took a month, and the time from opening to closing was less than one season, and it was rebuilt in the second year. Every year the ice sculptures are unique. What is different from other global ice hotels is that it can stand up to the test of the hotel, each room can comfortably bathe in a hot bath, and there will be a warm stove squatting at the bedside.

Canada is more "French" than France
"If Quebec is Canada's France, then Quebec City is France's France."
Quebec is compared with typical North American cities such as New York and Toronto. Like a large garden with a strong European style, when most Canadians speak English, they are full of French.
The most prominent in the city is the castle on the riverside, the Castle Hotel, which used to be the place where Roosevelt and Churchill met, and the Fairmont-Fantina Castle Hotel where many political stars have stayed. The travel expert of Fodor's Travel, the leading travel magazine leader, has selected one of the world's best 100 hotels, standing on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. It is the most iconic landmark in Quebec City and is considered a Canadian hotel lady. people.
We are going to increase the price of this luxury hotel and board this typical French castle overlooking the city.
Old Town Quebec is the most worthwhile visit to the pedestrian street
Lower Quebec City I think it is the most worthwhile to visit and expect, this is a small street -
Rue du Petit - Champlain (Little Champlain Street). The streets are not wide, but they have accommodated too many tourists. There are restaurants, clothing stores, snack bars, souvenir shops and art shops on both sides of the street. People who like to buy and buy, will definitely go back and forth here, do not miss any small shop.
All kinds of shops are selling postcards, refrigerator stickers, exquisite decorations, special snacks, and many European tableware. I dont know how to sell the license plates... Its also to solve afternoon tea or A good place for lunch, a restaurant with a slightly higher online rating, has a long queue at the basic entrance. The characteristics of this pedestrian street are not only the characteristics of each building itself, I think, as I said before, many owners have special care for the facades, window sills, signboards and flower arrangements of their shops. In the same way, you can see the different minds that the master has paid.
Besides the Castle Hotel Square, the tourists here are the most places I have ever seen!
I think Quebec City is the most European city in North America. If you use a beautiful word to describe Quebec City, it is not enough!
Rue Saint-Jean, another particularly lively neighbourhood in Quebec's Upper Town, is lined with a variety of restaurants, shops, snacks, bars, etc. on both sides of the street. Visitors are also coming and going. There are also many street performers performing here.
Because Qubec City uses French as its main language, although I want to use yelp to see if there are any restaurants worth recommending, I have not seen it. Just stop and see that there are people waiting outside the door on the right hand side. It seems that there are quite a lot of people inside, and it is very interesting that you can see what the waiters are making on the scene through the doors and windows, and stand there for a long time. A little touch, this is like a restaurant with a practice pizza!
After dinner, I walked along this street for a long time, and the shops on both sides could not help but want to go in and see! Although a few nights have already smashed several stores, it does not affect the excitement of this street! After all, many bars are still attracting the patronage of many customers. Many of the street seats feel quite casual, just the weather is not hot, and it is quite pleasant to have a drink.
Of course, during the day, there are many people who enjoy afternoon tea or lunch. The flow of people from Wagner Wagner is still very lively! There are also a lot of street performers on this street. The instrument played by this little brother has never been seen before, but the thing in his hand is very common among street performers in North America. It is also amazing to be able to make different tones.

The Battlefields Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Quaint Quebec City 🍁
Quebec City, the heart of French Canada, stands as a beacon of European charm in North America. Its well-preserved historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, beckons with winding cobblestone streets, picturesque plazas, and a vibrant cultural tapestry that reflects its deep Francophone roots.
Begin your exploration in Old Quebec, where the iconic Château Frontenac hotel dominates the skyline. This grand hotel is a symbol of the city's rich history and offers stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. Wander through the narrow lanes of the Petit Champlain district, arguably one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in North America, with its quaint boutiques and bistros.
Step back in time with a walk along the fortified city walls that encircle Old Quebec. These are the only remaining fortified city walls in North America and provide a unique glimpse into the city's military past. Just outside the walls, the Plains of Abraham offer a scenic green space where key historical battles once took place.
The culinary scene in Quebec City is a delight, emphasizing local ingredients and French gastronomy. Be sure to try traditional dishes such as poutine, made with French fries, cheese curds, and gravy, or tourtière, a savory meat pie that epitomizes Quebecois cuisine.
For a cultural experience, visit during the Winter Carnival, one of the world's largest winter festivals. You'll see elaborate ice sculptures, enjoy sleigh rides, and perhaps join the locals in a friendly snowball fight. The festival showcases the Québécois spirit of joie de vivre, even in the coldest months.
Quebec City's charm lies in its ability to blend its historical heritage with a lively modern culture. Visiting in either winter for the snowy enchantment or in summer for the lively festivals and open-air cafes, Quebec City offers a year-round destination with something for everyone.
