The lake is 80 kilometers long and 380 meters deep. This is great. The day we came here was the only rainy day out of the 10 days we spent in New Zealand, but it made the trip even more beautiful. We took the Earnslaw steamship and it was worth every penny spent. It is a magical old ship built in 1912. Can't wait to come again.

Vakatipu Lake, which is a lake with Queenstown's lips and teeth, has created the town's luminous landscape and the town's popularity. Lightning shaped Lake Wakatipu, the third largest lake in New Zealand, with its winding shoreline, mountains, beautiful scenery, when arranging the trip to New Zealand, as a must-do attraction. Touring Wakatipu Lake, with Queenstown on the north shore as the pivot is most suitable. Experienced 3 ways to view and deeply impressed by the beauty of the lake. 1. A bird's eye view over the sky. Take the skyline from Queenstown to Bob Peak and the viewing platform at the top is the best place to overlook the lake and take photos which are truly representative of the scenery of New Zealand. Also can skydiving a glimpse, more exciting cool. 2. Cruise by boat. Cruise by steamboat (or catamaran, speedboat) from Queenstown Port in the lake, enjoy the lake's scenery up close. The lake is windy, the waves are blossoming, the scenery is charming and the heart is happy. 3. Stroll the lake. The lake is a long shoreline in Queenstown, and it is easy to wander along the shore in the early morning and evening. The lake is clear and clear in the distance, with blue sky and white clouds above it and birds swimming at their feet like a fairyland.
We had a few hours to spare and decided to visit Lake Vacatiphus. So glad we did this as this tour we learned a lot about the lake basics and how Queenstown originally settled down and also got to see many of the places of interest along the coast. Great value for money!
There is a Lake Wakatipu lake in the center of Queenstown so the lake is very beautiful and you can see it immediately. There is a park by the lake and many people like to walk or have a picnic. There are also many seagulls.
The waterboat, steamboat, paraglider and other activities on Lake Vacatipu are better than that, but calm down, slow down and find her beauty at a different pace, the lake is a picture from every angle!
