This is definitely a must visit attraction when you live in Queenstown. The beginning of the trail is steep, but if you take it slowly, it's okay, you can finish it easily. It took me an hour to climb to the top of the mountain! Don't stop climbing after the basket of dreams, it will take 20 minutes to get to the top from there, and it's definitely worth it. Some comments say that the scenery at the top is the same as the basket of dreams, which is completely fake. You can see the 360-degree scenery there without any trees blocking it! Go, you won't regret it!

We went on a clear, cool morning to climb the time trail at Queenstown Hill, although my kids complained on the way, the views from the top were worth it! The kids (11, 8) loved the stone heaps and fairy tale doors on the side of the road, which made it even more fun. We may have spent about 2-2.5 hours going up and down the mountain, but we didn't get to a farther place than we met on foot. Even so, be prepared for some steep climbs, we even set off from the Kent St. Entrance!
Queenstown Hill is located in Queenstown town east of a very high hillside, you can take the cable car to the mountain to see the whole Queenstown and the surrounding beauty will be a panoramic view. The air on the mountain is very fresh, but it is a bit cold, pay attention to bring more clothes to keep warm.
The surrounding area of Queenstown is hilly, and perhaps the name of the attraction covers all the hills, with the most tourists and the most well-equipped, the Bob Peak, not far from the town center northwest. The Sky Cable Car is the most convenient, there is also a hiking route around the southwest side of the peak, the top has the best view over the town and Lake Wakatipu, even with the naked eye, there is a good view, just a good distance. And from the observation deck, there are a variety of rides, play slowly can stay for a long day.
Take family hike to the Queenstown hill summit at our own pace for the perfect panorama over the Wakatipu basin and back to the divide of the Southern Alps
