What people are saying:

The core area of Queenstown is the commercial block in the center of the city. The west side of the block is adjacent to the lakeside. There are three pedestrian streets: Liss Street, Camp Street, and More Avenue. Leith Street, which runs north-south, intersects with Moore Avenue on the south side, and stretches out to the steps of the Skyline Gondola on the north side. Shops lined up along the street, you can enjoy shopping and eating. There are 3 things you can't miss: one is the statue of William and Merino. William Gilbert Reese was the first colonist to reach the Queenstown area. He built the first building in Queenstown, discovered the first gold mine, and introduced the first batch of Merino sheep. In order to commemorate his achievements, the descendants built this statue in the center of Queenstown, which must be stamped in. The second is the online celebrity ice cream shop. Next to the statue is the ice cream shop with the highest popularity index in Queenstown. The shop is elegant and elegant, with a dazzling variety of varieties, sweet entrance and endless aftertaste. Spend 15 minutes in line and try New Zealand ice cream. It's definitely worth the money. The third is lakeside green space. The green area is small, surrounded by mountains and rivers, green grass, scattered with benches, and the scenery is pleasant. Take a photo, take a rest, and have a daze. It is very comfortable.

    Central

The stute itself is OK with the view behind of the lake and is probably the busiest place in Queenstown. The are usually buskers and there is a few places to eat.

    A fitting tribute

A fantastic bronze statue located near the water front to remember the life of the man who started Queenstown. Well worth a stop to read the inscription.
