Quzhou Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Nianbadu Ancient Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Tian'erdu Ancient Town, a unique Quzhou ancient town
It's really quite different from other ancient towns in Zhejiang, as if it's a forgotten corner, exquisite and powerful, built against the mountains, with a touch of mystery, and a bit of the flavor of Guizhou and Yunnan.
Quzhou Jiangshan Twenty-Eight Villages
Take the train to Jiangshan Station, and there is a bus outside the station that goes directly to the ticket office of the Twenty-Eight Villages scenic area. You will pass several different small attractions on the way, so be careful not to get off the bus too early.
It's really, really, really small (probably the smallest ancient town I've been to), mainly just one street with a row of houses on each side.
If you're specifically coming to Twenty-Eight Villages to check in, I really don't recommend it; but if it's just a stop along the way and you're casually checking in, it's still worth a stroll.
Rated as the most beautiful ancient town by National Geographic, I regret only discovering it now
There are many beautiful ancient towns in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai,
Xitang, Wuzhen, Shaoxing, Nanxun ancient towns,
but they are all too crowded.
This time, in Jiangshan, Quzhou, I found a very special and niche ancient town, the Twenty-Eight Town.
Located at the junction of Zhejiang, Fujian, and Jiangxi provinces, its architecture blends styles from different regions, with Quanzhou's Minnan characteristic orange-yellow bricks and tiles, and the walls of Huizhou-style architecture. The buildings are densely packed, and wandering among them feels very interesting. As a 5A tourist attraction, it is very low-key, and the place is full of the New Year atmosphere during the Spring Festival. If you don't want to be in a crowded place, you can come here with your family for a visit.
On the first day, go straight to the Twenty-Eight Town. Self-driving is really convenient; the ancient town is right off the highway. Let me share some of the Spring Festival activities here.
1. Year of the Dragon Art Exhibition
The intangible heritage bamboo-woven dragon installation is already being set up. The local elders are diligently weaving the dragon shapes, all of which are exquisite. The exhibitions are located at Wenchang Palace, Zhupo Bridge, Dongsheng Bridge, and the small square of the foreign goods store.
2. New Year Garden Event
Immerse yourself in the ancient Twenty-Eight Town, with Song Dynasty vendors hawking along the streets, ready for a photo op at any moment, and a traditional New Year market showcasing local specialty foods and various interesting handicrafts.
3. New Year Concert
During the Spring Festival, big stars will drop in, like Gao Shengmei and Nan Quan Mama, all part of my youth memories. Who didn't listen to 'Orange Soda' and 'Rainy Day' when they were young?
On the second day, you can go to Jianglang Mountain, also a 5A scenic spot, with scenery that I think is no less impressive than Huangshan, and a great experience.
If you come here during the Spring Festival, not only can you enjoy the beautiful scenery, but you can also check in at the One-Line Sky Fortune Path, which is a hundred-meter-long fortune path created by the young artist Qin Xinyuan, combining the One-Line Sky attraction of Jianglang Mountain. Climbing up the steps, you rise higher with each step, and it's predicted to be a popular spot during the Spring Festival.
Of course, there are other great places in Jiangshan:
1. Qingyang Scenic Area
With its ancient charm, it has produced 8 Shangshu (high officials) and 83 Jinshi (successful candidates in the highest imperial examinations) in history, making it a famous cultural village.
2. Fugai Mountain
A mountain spanning three provinces, with unique landforms and shapes, the main peak is 1146.4 meters high, with various tunnels through the mountain, quite adventurous.
3. Xianxia Pass
The place is not large, but it is rich in historical heritage. Those who like history can come and see it. It is one of China's four ancient passes, along with Jianmen Pass, Hangu Pass, and Yanmen Pass.
Zhejiang's only free 5A ancient town, don't just go to the crowded Wuzhen! Bai Juyi's crazy confession
Zhejiang's only free 5A ancient town, don't just go to the crowded Wuzhen! Bai Juyi's crazy confession is so beautiful that it takes your breath away, and the prices are still low...
It is the Twenty-Eight Du Ancient Town in Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province.

Who dares to live in the mountains! After I lived, I thought about retiring quickly!
Every day, I live a repetitive and boring life
Seeing everyone going to the mountains to 'cultivate immortality', I also want to experience it. I searched around Hangzhou
Finally chose the Tea Ping Village located in Quzhou. It can be reached from Hangzhou in 3 hours
This mountain village, only a dozen residents live in the homestay 'monopolizes' one side of the hillside. The surrounding environment is very quiet and quiet
The room I live in is called 'Good Persimmon' 'Good Persimmon' good thing, the implication is really good
It is surrounded by mountains, and the morning sun is sprinkled
Looking through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the room, the mountains are as beautiful as a painting. The food is authentic Quzhou cuisine, and those who love spicy food should not miss it. During the period, I also experienced the intangible cultural heritage lacquer fan and made incense
Here, feel the breath of the mountains and return to nature. The wind blows, and I feel that the sky, trees, streams
Even drinking a cup of freshly brewed honeysuckle tea can be so beautiful. Just like the slogan of 'Day and Night in the Mountains' What's the matter in the mountains, pine flowers brew wine, spring water boils tea
When you feel tired, I sincerely suggest you live in the mountains!
Quzhou Rixi Mountain Homestay | Get healed in the time of full green mountains
It is expected to be a bleak winter,
The wind and water flow are clear and gentle,
On the first day, I went to the Yaowang Mountain Scenic Area, with few people and beautiful scenery.
On the second day, I got up in the morning for a walk and played Ba Duan Jin,
The homestay courtyard is planted with cypress and persimmons,
It turns out that the cypress seeds will also open like pine cones,
The homestay is in the ancient village,
The village life is quiet and slow,
The loquat tree is full of fragrant and elegant small flowers,
The wind blows and they fall.
The red bean fir is bearing her fruit,
The appearance is cute and the taste is sweet.
Every day in the ancient village and nature,
Can be vivid and interesting.

Longyou Grottoes | The Ninth Great Wonder of the World
Longyou Grottoes, also known as the Underground Pyramids, are hailed as the Ninth Great Wonder of the World.
Having never been to the Longyou Grottoes, I've always been fascinated by them and wanted to explore what they're all about. On February 8th, I visited the grottoes and experienced firsthand the difficulty and hardship ancient people must have faced when carving out these caves. Moreover, considering the lack of advanced technology in the past, how did they manage to construct such deep grottoes in an environment filled with carbon dioxide, where even candles would extinguish?
I also looked into the history of the grottoes. On June 9, 1992, Wu A'nai and three other villagers used four water pumps to drain water for 17 days and nights, finally revealing another mystery of the world that could be compared to UFOs. Led by Wu A'nai, they entered a mysterious underground world, grand and spectacular, full of bewildering wonders.
All five caves are connected, making the visit very convenient, walking from one to the next. The entire tour takes about 30-40 minutes to complete.
How to book?
Follow the Quzhou Culture and Tourism official WeChat account, click on the free tour, and all scenic spots in Quzhou are free to visit on weekdays. If you have time, you can come on a weekday to climb Jianglang Mountain, Lanke Mountain, Medicine King Mountain, and visit the Sanqu Stone Forest, as well as explore the Twenty-Eight Towns and the Root Palace Buddha Land.

✅Huxi Time Art Corridor
A place that amazed me, where agricultural culture, natural beauty, and modern art collide. The rapeseed flowers in Ting Tang Wei Village are in full bloom recently, making for stunning photos. The art installations in the middle of the flower sea are passionate, rustic, and modern, each with its own style.✅Remember to check in at the bookstore in the flower field, with its red brick design it feels like you've arrived in Jingdezhen.
🌼The rapeseed flowering period will last until mid-May
✅Mahogany Town
A spectacular complex of buildings, with architectural styles from the Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties, mostly made of mahogany, hence the name 'Mahogany Town'
✅Longyou Ancient Residential Garden

If you still don't know where to go for the New Year, remember to send this note to your family when you see it, it's worth a rush for the New Year‼️
The 4A famous mountain in Zhejiang, which is known for its cave exploration, will be free of charge in 2024
For those who like to explore "magical" places, it's a great experience to visit some unexplainable and unique places!
For example, the first strange stone in Sanjin, Shanxi Zhiguo Stone, the 30 degrees north latitude Huashan Mystery Cave, the "natural yearbook" of earth and geological science Huguangyan, the world's four major natural mysteries Shennongjia, the Emei Buddha Light on Mount Emei, the lost Dali Jinso Island, and the mountainous area of 100,000 mountains, which has been a mountain range since ancient times, are all mysterious places that everyone is rushing to!
In fact, what you don't know is that there is a magical scenic spot in Zhejiang, which has the characteristics of "one mountain across three provinces" and "cave exploration", which is really eye-catching in 2024. You can come and challenge it when you have time.
The mountain I'm talking about is Fugai Mountain. Because the main peak is stacked with stones, the lower one is like a plate, and the upper one is like a cover, it is named "Fugai Mountain". The main peak is 1146.4 meters above sea level, with a total area of 14.40 square kilometers.
Unlike other mountains, Fugai Mountain spans Zhejiang, Fujian, and Jiangxi provinces. You can overlook the junction of the three provinces from the top, and if you're lucky, you can see the sea of clouds!
After starting to challenge the mountain, you will find that this mountain is really "honest", there is no cable car or other means of transportation, there are two roads for walking, one is the adventure road (cave exploration), the other is the step road, and the two roads are intertwined with each other, almost every cave has a step road to walk, you can explore the cave, or walk!
For the first time visitors, you can follow the route: Visitor Center - Lotus Cave - Die Shi Temple - Three Die Shi - Viewing Platform - Fugai Mountain Top - Viewing Platform - Three Die Shi - Die Shi Temple - Aotu Rock Face - Lotus Pond - Visitor Center.
What needs to be noted is that you can climb the Lotus Cave up the mountain, but it is not recommended to take the Lotus Cave down the mountain, which is more dangerous!
On the way up the mountain, you will find that the mountain is really great, challenging in the combination of climbing and cave exploration! You can walk up the plank road steps, or shuttle in the original mountain stones, occasionally you will see a lot of pictographic stones, use your imagination, you can get a lot of surprises!
After reaching the top, the scenery of the main peak is really "beautiful", the clouds that are within reach, the tough and upright mountain body, the lush forest, the small town with the smell of fireworks, a gust of wind blows, fully experiencing the feeling of "overlooking all the small mountains"! It's like being in God's perspective, that experience is indescribable!
For those who drive by themselves, you can drive to the halfway point near an altitude of more than 500 meters, and then hike up more than 600 meters to the highest peak of 1146.4 meters.
Moreover, Fugai Mountain has another highlight, that is, it is usually free from Monday to Friday, and charges are only on holidays and weekends.
For those who like to check in, you can focus on taking pictures of Lijian Peak, Shilian Pool, Xianzhang Stone, Xianrenji, Bishi Peak, One Line Sky, Longchi Longdong, Songyan Cave, Shuangsun Stone, Xianren Peak, Chessboard Stone, Donggua Stone Toad Stone, Fugai Mountain Top, Three Die Stone, Baihua Rock, Lishan Temple, Die Shi Temple, Dayun Temple.
Among them, One Line Sky is worth staying, because it is located to the east of Bishi Peak, and is a rock fissure type cave. The cave entrance is only a narrow foot wide, and the top and bottom are like one. The climb to the top of Fugai Peak is from this fissure, which is very interesting.
Fugai Mountain Tourist Tips:
The ticket is 45 yuan , located 3 kilometers south of Twenty-eight Du Town, Jiangshan City, Quzhou, Zhejiang Province. Take Jiangshan 311 Road to Station and walk. It is recommended to drive by yourself.
The feeling of climbing Fugai Mountain is very good, the adventure road section designed with special terrain is very interesting, the photos are also good-looking, it will pass through caves, climb stone piles, climb stairs, cross single-plank bridges and other terrains, it is fun and not tired!
Have you been to this scenic spot? Welcome to leave a message to discuss!

Blossom Valley, Jiangshan Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Jianglang Mountain's Twenty-Eight Counties Scenic Area Day Trip
March in spring is the perfect season for tourism. Zhejiang, Jiangxi and other places have launched many free ticket activities for scenic spots. Hurry up and take a trip before the end of March that you can just get up and go.
Jianglang Mountain's Twenty-Eight Counties Scenic Area is located in Jiangshan City under Quzhou, Zhejiang. It is a relatively niche but no less popular 5A scenic spot. Jianglang Mountain is also a favorite place for mountain climbing enthusiasts. The challenging mountain climbing trails are steep enough, and a self-driving trip for two days and one night is enough.
Accommodation: There are quite a few cost-effective homestays around Jianglang Mountain, including Huajiantang, where you can stay at the foot of the mountain and enjoy the view of Jianglang Mountain from a distance. If you stay in the Twenty-Eight Counties, there are also many homestays to choose from.
Food: There are some farmhouses around, and as long as you're not too picky, it's fine.
Tickets: Jianglang Mountain does not charge for admission from Monday to Friday, but you can't reach the summit or go to Dengtianping. Additionally, you must take a scenic shuttle bus into the scenic area, which costs 15 yuan per person; on Saturdays and Sundays, the ticket is 90 yuan, including the scenic shuttle bus. In March 2024, admission is free, but the shuttle bus is an additional cost. The normal ticket for the Twenty-Eight Counties is 80 yuan, but it's also free in March, which is a great deal to take advantage of.
Route: If you don't climb to the top of Jianglang Mountain, it takes about two to three hours to visit. Climbing to the top is estimated to take four hours. There are clear signs on the mountain, and the general route is scenic shuttle bus to halfway up the mountain - Jianglang Academy - Kaiming Zen Temple - Huixian Rock - Baibu Gorge - Xiake Pavilion - One Line Sky - Dengtianping - descending the mountain.
Climbing to the top requires good physical strength, and some parts are almost 90 degrees, so it's best not to try it if you're elderly or with children.
After coming down from Jianglang Mountain, there is an inter-scenic area bus that can take you directly to the Twenty-Eight Counties. The Twenty-Eight Counties are not big, and two hours is enough, so you can usually visit both scenic areas in one day.
Good scenery always brings good mood
If you want to find a place where you can enjoy natural scenery and experience a hotel full of design sense during your weekend vacation, don't miss Jianglang Mountain Huajian Ridge·Cloud End Seek Scenery!
The villa area is divided into three small courtyards, each with its own lawn and green plants. In the undisturbed independent space, you can relax freely. Each room is a mountain view floor-to-ceiling window, whether it is a courtyard room or a villa room, you can feel the freshness and comfort of being in the mountains.
Before coming, I was very curious about what kind of hotel it was. After checking in, the experience was great. The butler service was thoughtful and enthusiastic, and answered all questions. The taste of Quzhou cuisine is very memorable. The butler also took us to visit the small vegetable garden cultivated by the hotel itself, and we felt full of happiness!
In the warm sun of early winter, make a pot of tea around the stove, roast oranges, rice cakes, pick sweet potatoes from your own vegetable field, the taste is soft and sweet, don't mention how comfortable it is!
Quzhou—Jianglang Mountain, I'm really lucky
I, a little potato from the south, have been longing for snow and finally got to capture it at Jianglang Mountain, Huajian Ridge, and Cloud Top.
P1 and P2 were taken inside the room. P1 was taken on the second day when the snow began to melt, but the snow on the mountain was still clearly visible!
P3 and P4 were taken above the hotel's tea garden, where you can overlook the entire tea garden.
P5, P6, and P7 were taken around the hotel's lawn, where there is a sign for check-in.
In P8, I captured the little green vegetables surrounded by snow!
