The Mingshi Strait Bridge is a cross-sea highway bridge connecting Kobe and Awaji Island in Japan. It crosses the Mingshi Strait and is the largest span bridge and suspension bridge in the world. The pier spans 1991 meters, 35 meters wide, and 960 meters on both sides. The bridge body is light blue. The bridge deck has six lanes. The design speed is 100 kilometers per hour. It can withstand 8.5 strong earthquake of Rui's scale and 80 meters per second strong typhoon attack once in a century.
