Amazing architecture! A great place to walk and to see the view of the port.

It’s a nice place to look at the view of Oslo and enjoy the Norwegian culture. You can walk by the old wall with the sea just next to you. I believe it will be very beautiful to see the sunrises and sunsets there. I would suggest to plan the journey in advanced. Btw, it’s feee to visit.

Axhus is the name of a neighboring county in Oslo and the name of a castle that stands on the edge of the Cape of Ak. From here, it overlooks almost the city hall and the whole picture of downtown Oslo. Axhus was King Yukang V of Norway in 1300 to resist foreign aggression. Designed and built, it was one of the most iconic buildings of the Middle Ages, and the castle was built shortly before the king's death in 1308, and Haakon VI used it as his royal palace, so now the large building we see is a solid fortress and a magnificent palace. The wonderful combination of the massive expansion and decoration of the castle in the early 17th century, and today the castle is often used to entertain foreign dignitaries.

The castle stands on Cape Ak, from which you can almost see the city hall and downtown Oslo. No tickets are required for visiting the castle, but the museum inside needs tickets. The military museum here is very famous. Military fans should not miss that Norwegian military history has many weapons, such as pirate ships.
