Built in 1750 by the Governor of Damascus, Azm is now the Syrian Museum of Civil History. Azm Palace is a palace built in 1750 to commemorate the former governor of Damascus, Azm. Azm Palace is a traditional Damascus building, and the harem is Azm's home, including kitchens, dormitories and baths. It was damaged in 1925 and now serves as a museum and folk art exhibition hall.
