After entering the scenic spot, we walked along the road between the lawns to the old Thai Parliament Building, also known as the Royal Palace of Ananda Shamakong, which is not only the most representative building in Thailand, but also the place where national ceremonies and guests are held. This white-dominated Italian Renaissance building, built in 1907, was ordered by Emperor Rama V after his return from Italy. It was built until Rama VI succeeded in 1915. This eight-year-old palace is not only the first parliamentary building after the constitutional monarchy of Thailand, but also an important external window in the history of the Rama dynasty. This magnificent palace is beautiful in appearance, clean in environment and very gorgeous. It imitates the European style of the dome of the Western Parliament Building. On the whole, it is the cross of the Gothic church. Many Angel reliefs are carved on the exterior walls of the building. It is vivid and lifelike, making people feel as if they were in Europe. We walked down the carpeted staircase to the lobby on the second floor under the guidance of the lecturer. It made me feel like walking into a Gothic church. The roof was painted with colorful and eye-catching decorative paintings, but the contents of the paintings were not biblical stories, but Indian Buddhist stories believed by Thais. The interior structure of the second floor presents a cross shape. The front and back of the central hall are several smaller halls. The top of each hall is a hemisphere with decorative patterns. The interior was decorated with coloured marbles (the announcer said the marbles were transported from Italy at that time), the roof was equipped with Italian "crystal" lamps, and the faucet lamp post was covered with Thai beetles'colorful backshells, which made the hall look brilliant and magnificent. On the top of the dome there are murals of the historical evolution of Thailand, describing the recovery of lost land by Emperor Rama I and the abolition of slavery by Emperor V of Thailand. Walking into the hall, you can see many exquisite treasures of the Royal treasure. They are exquisite, ingenious, golden, gemstone-inlaid handicraft treasures and gifts. They are incomparably luxurious, especially the most attractive eye-catching gold products, such as the gold dragon boat for the crowning of the Thai Royal family, the Golden Elephant saddle, the golden sedan, the Dragon chair, the golden pagoda, the golden umbrella for the throne, etc. Wait, when I look at the stars, shining gemstones, diamonds inlaid in golden gold on a variety of beautiful patterns and patterns, I can not help but admire its ingenuity. It is estimated that the most luxurious one is the gold bowl as large as the simu wuding. Apart from 108 golden temples, there are 10,000 diamonds inlaid on the edge of the bowl. It can be said that all the exhibits here are exquisite. They will open people's eyes and make people have long insights. At the same time, they can't help admiring these beautiful crafts.

loved this museum, I have a great interest in Buddhist art particularly, but even if you don’t, this museum is worth a visit. lots of info, in both English and Thai, and many exhibitions on Thai history, royalty and Buddhism. Tickets are 200baht each, and worth every penny. it’s also a good way to escape the heat for a few hours, if you find the heat difficult.
