Bhimsen Tower Review

Dharahara is its Nepali name. Its famous s for its historical effects from Bhimsen Thapa. It was supposed to be the tallest point nepal. Its located in busy area near Sundhara.

Built in 1832, the 62-metre-high tower is the tallest building in Kathmandu, with 299 rupees for foreigners. There are no elevators. Visitors have to climb 213 steps on foot. The top of the tower is Shiva's shrine, while the viewing platform is located on 200 steps. There is no doubt that this is the best scenic spot in Kathmandu. You can clearly see the Duba Square and Queen's Pool in the distance. You can also see the playground under the tower and the dried-up Sondhara Pool.

From the photos, you can see how magnificent the tower was. It is said that you can see the beauty of the whole of Nepal when you climb the tower, but unfortunately it has been completely destroyed by the earthquake, there is no way to rebuild, only the ruins can be seen.

I think it's quite general, mainly because his appearance looks unattractive, like a lighthouse, and has no ethnic or religious characteristics, but it seems to be the tallest building nearby.

When I went there, the tower was closed, and I couldn't go in. I could only look at it on the periphery, but a small market was formed nearby. Everyone would still come over and tourists would still punch in.
