Venice Sighing Bridge, completed in 1600, belongs to the early Baroque style. The closed arch bridge is made of limestone and has only two small windows. The Sighing Bridge crosses a river and connects the interrogation room and prison cell of the Duke of Venice. When the prisoners were sentenced to death at the Governor's Palace, they passed through the bridge, sighed and went to the death row. But there is another beautiful legend: when lovers kiss each other under the sighing bridge at sunset, they will get everlasting love.
