Cabrillo National Monument is so beautiful. You have some absolutely fabulous views of San Diego and the Pacific Ocean. The area is full of history and the park is geared towards educating it's guests about the environment and history of the place. When we visited they were hosting artists who had set up in the park and were painting different views and scenery. It was really fun seeing all the different styles and takes with the landscape right in front of you. I particularly enjoyed the tide pools and what felt like armadas of pelicans flying overhead.

The national monument of Caporio was named after the Portuguese navigator who climbed the west bank of North America here. The park is located on the Point Loma Peninsula in San Diego, California, and is managed by the United States National Park Service (National Park Service). The terrain is relatively high, overlooking the entire San Diego and Coronado Island of the United States Navy and Air Force Base. In addition to the monument of Caporio, there are also more than 100-year-old Loma Temple Lighthouse (Old Point Loma Highthouse), and the site of the US Coastal Gun position during World War II. Or visit the wild places of marine life and seaside plants, and you can also watch the gray whales return to the channel in September. Telephone : (1-619)557-5450 Transportation: You can take the 84 bus to Cabrillo National Monument Station and get off at the ticket: no tickets are required

Standing at the Cabrillo National Monument monument, you can see the invincible sea view from above, and the San Diego and Mexico border is also unobstructed. At the beginning of the year, you can see the whales swimming across the sea at the Whale Overlook attraction. Next to the Old Point Loma lighthouse is also not to be missed, the rotating small stairs and the historical items retained in the house are very old.

The park is San Diego's only national park, located in the city and on the southeast corner of the continental United States. The Park was built to commemorate the discovery and landing of Cabrillo, a Portuguese, on the American continent. The park is not big. Driving in, the ticket is about $10 a car. Because we plan to go to other national parks, we bought an annual ticket of $80 for the National Park of the United States here. There is a statue in the park, a lighthouse and a memorial hall. There is nothing in it. In this park surrounded by the sea on three sides, you can overlook the opposite Colorado Island. It should have a good view when the weather is good. We also caught a hummingbird, an island the size of a bee, which had never been seen before.

Walk through the park, including the lighthouse. It's 400 feet above sea level, so you can see the vast ocean, or watch ships enter and leave the nearby naval base. Choose to come at low tide when the puddles at the bottom of the basin will dry up.

This is a historic park in memory of Caprio, the first Spanish colonist to discover the land. Here you can walk along the seaside trails and borrow telescopes to watch whales at the Visitors'Center.
