Chongyan Pagoda is located on the bank of Xijiang River in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. It was built in September of Ming Wanli ten years (1582). It was built by Wang Qian, deputy leader of Lingxi. It was completed in April of 13 years (1585). Because the Xijiang water is "tumbling and east, its gas is not gathered, and talents are like morning stars". If the tower is built, it can make talents out; Because of the frequent flooding in the Xijiang River, the tower can live in the town of "bad dragon", Yonggu embankment, so there is a tower. The name of the tower is taken as "Wenyun prosperous" and "Hongfu no Xinjiang". It stands on the stone roof on the north side of the tower foot road. It is spectacular and extraordinary. It can be called the crown of the four towers.
