The Great Buddha Temple Grottoes were drilled in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, and were drilled in the early Tang Dynasty. There are 446 Buddhas in the temple, and the exquisite statues of Yu Zun in 1980 are important Buddhist grotto temples near Chang'an, Shengtang Beijing. Its Tang Dynasty Buddha is the largest in Guanzhong area, reflecting the popularity of stone carving Buddha art from the west and east of Guanzhong area. It was hailed by the Qing Dynasty scholar Bi Xu as the "first spectacle in Guanzhong".
