Dangkou Ancient Town Review

Dangkou Ancient Town is located in the southeast of Wuxi, which is adjacent to the Tombs of Yue nobles and Taibo Tombs in the West and Suzhou and Changshu in the east. Dingshe, the ancient name, is said to be the hometown of Dinglan, the filial son of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is named for its location in the mouth of the goose gill. The beautiful Goose Lake has bred historic towns. Most of the residents in the town are Fahrenheit, whose ancestor Hua Zheng read hundreds of schools of thought and wrote The Book of Assumption, which has been handed down from generation to generation. Therefore, the prevailing trend of filial piety and righteousness, Wuhua Tianbao, Zhong Lingyu Yuxiu, celebrities, rapid economic and social development, become the first township of grain Fu in Jiangnan. Here the rivers are vertical and horizontal, the lakes are dense, the bridges are flowing and the environment is elegant. After several years of protection and development, the historical and cultural block of Dangkou ancient town has been elaborately built into an ancient water town in the south of the Yangtze River, which integrates tourism, leisure, sightseeing and vacation in accordance with the national 5A tourist attractions. There are many historical relics in Dangkou, including four provincial cultural protection units, one municipal cultural protection unit and 50 historical buildings. In 2004, it was announced as a famous historical and cultural town in Jiangsu Province. In 2008, it was designated as one of the five key protected historical and cultural blocks (famous towns) in Wuxi City. In 2010, it was named as a famous historical and cultural town in China.
