Dongquanmen is an ancient street in Yangzhou, east-west direction, west to Guoqing Road, east to Guanxiang, about 700 meters long, parallel to Wenchang Middle Road, the main road of East and West in Yangzhou City. Dongquanmen formed in the Ming Dynasty. During the Zhengde period, the Salt Transportation Division was alone outside the city (the old city), and three gate buildings were built on the east, south and north sides. The East Gate Building was called the East Circle Gate, and a street formed to the east, becoming a salt merchant settlement.
