Former French Mission Building Review

The former French Foreign Missionary Building is a typical colonial-style red brick building with granite carved decorations and green shutters on the windows. The building belongs to the historical building and was once the seat of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal. It can be said to be a heavy experience. Although the building is very long and under the shadow of trees, the light feeling under the sun is still very strong.

Behind the Standard Chartered Bank Building, next to St. John's Cathedral, if you walk up a steep, tree-shaded fortress, you will see the red brick building, the former French Foreign Missionary Building. The building was built in 1843 and changed ownership several times. Until 1915, the foreign missionary Church in Paris bought the building and rebuilt it. Its appearance has been maintained to this day. The whole building is made of granite and red brick. It belongs to the neoclassical style. There are few left in Hong Kong.

The former French Foreign Mission Building is the only red brick prewar building in Central! It is a holy place for many people to shoot! And there are many Central beautiful people who like to buy lunch and come for a walk!

This red brick building witnessed the changes of Hong Kong for more than 100 years, silently recording the social environment with rise and fall.
