这次3月底的江南行，淮安是临时的住宿地。之所以选择在这里下榻，是因为这里是周总理的故乡。周恩来故居位于驸马巷，一听就有历史感的巷子名。整个故居占地面积颇大，足矣见得这曾是一户大户人家。只是周总理童年坎坷，幼年被过继给叔父，有过四个母亲，生母，嗣母，奶母，后来的养母。这些坎坷，也让幼小的总理变得懂事自律。对他日后的生活产生影响。在故居，了解周总理童年，在纪念馆可以了解周总理的政治生涯，都很有意义。

故居在淮安老城淮安区驸马巷，由东西相连的两个宅院组成，共有大小房屋32间，为青砖灰瓦木结构建筑，建于清代中晚期，国家5A旅游景区。

这里是周恩来总理的出生地，现在免费开放，是红色旅游教育基地，这里通过图片、实物介绍了周总理光辉灿烂的一生，也是我们缅怀伟人的好地方。
