Frederick Church (Frederiks Kirke) is known for its rococo architecture, called Marble Church, is the evangelical Lutheran Church in Copenhagen, Denmark. The church is the focal point of Frederick Stadden; it is located west of the Amerinburg Palace. Frederick Church has the largest church dome in Scandinavia, 31 meters across. The dome is supported by 12 stone pillars. The cornerstone was set by King Frederick V on October 31, 1749. After Eigtved died in 1754, the church was left incomplete for 150 years. The church was finally opened to the public on August 19, 1894. The golden words on the front porch were engraved with the following words: HERRENS ORD BLIVER EVINDELIG (The Word of the Lord lasts forever).
