This is one of my favourite things in Kyoto, a small mountain full of thousands of orange tore gates that pave the way to the top, offering stunning views of the city below. It's a nice trek for those that want to discover the history of Kyoto, as well as getting some fresh air in your lungs and stay active while exploring. With beautiful shrines nestled through the trees you will find plenty things to stop and look at on your journey. Free and open 24 hours a day, it's a great stop for budget travellers, or those who are under pressure with time as you can visit anytime you want! Be aware, it's very eerie at night so bring a friend!
