The Ca' Pesaro Palace, facing the Grand Canal, was completed in 1710 in the Baroque style, using precious marble materials and beautiful columns on the façade. There is the International Museum of Modern Art (Galleria internazionale d'arte moderna) and the Oriental Museum of Art (Museo d'arte orientale), the former exhibits the works of Klimt, Chagall, Kandinsky, Klee, Matisse, Chirico and others. The latter exhibits mainly from Japan, as well as artwork from China and Indonesia. It is a 25-minute walk from the train station.

The museum has some very important art, from the 13th century, by Giotto and the Filipino Lippi and others. On the third floor, Brazilian artist Vik Muniz held a good exhibition. There is a circular staircase and the museum has a lot of porcelain.
